All units engage with Christian ideas, and there is a core of theological units to challenge, broaden and connect your faith with your teaching vocation.

Graduates are able to apply for registration and teach in Christian, government, Catholic and independent schools in Australia and overseas as the course is fully recognised by the Victorian Institute of Teaching and government bodies.

Teaching is a challenging yet rewarding profession and if you already hold a degree in another discipline, a Master of Teaching will qualify you to apply for registration and teach in Christian, government, Catholic and independent schools in Australia and overseas. Our courses are unique in their emphasis on the significant positive contribution a Christian worldview can bring to education. The course is designed to provide graduates with a broad understanding of teaching theory and practices, as well as ethical and legal dimensions of the profession.

We are able to offer early entry for school leavers who wish to study teaching at our College – (Ranked highly for student satisfaction by the government QILT surveys).

We also offer Commonwealth Support Places (CSP’s) for early admissions which are offered on a first-come-first-served basis.

This means you don't have to wait to receive your ATAR to apply!

Eastern primarily delivers courses at its Wantirna Campus and selected units online or through a blended-model delivery.

Eastern is co-located with Melbourne School of Theology as a result of a cooperative partnership between the two colleges.

The College also teaches units and courses at a number of locations including through the CITE Alliance in partnership with top Christian Schools across Victoria.
