MSMES are the backbone of Indian economy and facilitate job creation in backward and far flung areas, balance economic development, inclusive growth are the laboratory of entrepreneurship. Therefore, Government of India has formed a separate ministry for the speedy development of this crucial segment of our economy. To promote the marketing of MSME products a Vendor Development Programme has been planned at Mumbai. Indian MSMEs face enormous challenges in terms of productivity and establishing a credible foothold in global arena. Marketing is seen as key for future prospects. We need to desperately scale up our efforts to fuel manufacturing, proven skills in products, reconfiguration and customisation with creativity, assured quality and value addition to enhance the share in domestic and global market.

RETROSPECT OF NATIONAL VENDOR 2012 Micro Small Medium Enterprises - Development institute, Mumbai, National Small Industries Corporation , Mumbai & supported by Industrial Associations Jointly Organized the National Vendor Development Programme w.e.f. 6th January 2012 at the MSME - DI Campus, Sakinaka, Mumbai 400072. The National Vendor Development Programme and the exhibition showcased the products exclusively manufactured by MSMES included machinary , raw materials, consumer goods, tooling, measuring instrument, I.T. solution and other services. The event initiated a constructive dialogue with a positive note on National Vendor Development Seminar. The Exhibition at the threshold level was a great success not only in terms of deals stuck and trade enquiries generated but also in terms of visitor profile and participation of various stake holders in flagship exhibition, concurrent technical session, meet and B-2-B meet. considering the benefits of the dialogue, most of the participating units demanded to repeat it every year.
