The Farmersville Recycling Center will be closed Saturday March 30, because of Easter weekend. The center will reopen at 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, April 6 with normal hours.

news@csmediatexas.com A contract for WRA Architects was approved by Farmersville ISD Tuesday night for an evaluation of the district’s existing main entrance security at each campus. The board, at their regular trustees’ meeting, approved the services proposal not to exceed $16,095.00, which includes a review of existing facilities as well as evaluation, design, construction services and bid procurement by WRA. Actual construction costs, permit fees and third-party costs are not
included in the proposal. Documentation and release of information by WRA for proposal purposes would begin as early as this week. Open proposals would be due by April 19 and the FISD board would expect to award a construction contract by April 22. According to the WRA timeline, construction would begin around July 1 and be completed by July 19, 2013. city limits. Open burning is not permitted on lots where there is less than 50 feet of clearance from a structure and 50 feet from other combustible material such as trees, bushes and power lines. There must also be a 50-foot fire break around the material to be burned.

Other rules for both bonfires and for authorized burns in the county, is that a person must constantly be with the burn pile or the bonfire. There must also be a water source or fire extinguishing equipment ready for use. “The Fire Marshal or local responding emergency services
