GLOBAL YOUTH SUMMIT 2017 CHAMPION. MSEUF Alumni prove as globally competitive graduates after bagging First Place in the Global Youth4SDGs competition sponsored by SM Cares and Global Peace Foundation, March 3, 2017 at SM MOA Arena. MSEUF ALUMNI BAG FIRST PLACE IN GLOBAL YOUTH COMPETITION A group of young leaders and professionals, all alumni of the Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation (MSEUF) received a seed grant of ₹200,000 after winning first in the Global Youth4SDGs competition sponsored by SM Cares and Global Peace Foundation during the Global Youth Summit 2017 held last March 3 at SM MOA Arena. The GoLeaders Calabarzon team composed of Engr. Raynell A. Inojosa (BSECE 2013), Ian Christopher O. de Torres (BSCS 2014, Kristine M. Mae Purio (BSPsych 2015), Julian N. Eballa III (BSECE 2013), Mark Nel A. Inojosa

(BSEE 2017) was adjudged winner among the 25 entries and finalists with its 5E-Big Project that aims to promote a common advocacy on youth empowerment, education and employment in response to the call of the United Nations to establish a program for the 2030 Agenda on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The 5E-Big Project is a community program that will help increase employment rate of Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) graduates through online innovative platform approach. The project proposal emerged among the top five winners for the seed grant with a

score of 91.67 percent. The 5E-Big Project intends to encourage the out-of-school youth to enroll in a TVET course in TESDA-accredited institution through the Lucena Manpower Skill Training Center (LMSTC) as one of the primary providers of technical and vocational education in the CALABARZON region. Team Project Leader Engr. Inojosa emphasized that the primary aim of the project is to achieve an employment rate of 80 percent (or higher) for outof-school youth-turned-TVET graduates who are morally upright, properly trained and decently employed as young people who

will drive for the development of the economy and eventually in the abolition of poverty in our community. Inojosa also said that with the support of their key partners such as LMSTC, the project will become doable and successful in providing significant impact to our community as the project addresses one of the SDGs which delves on decent work and sustainable economic growth. With support from other youth organizations from CALABARZON Region, the 5E-Big Project is endorsed by the National Youth Commission (NYC) and the International Labor Organization (ILO).
