As I was listening to the music by Son Lux as inspiration for an art work I drew the first preliminary sketches. I listened to it a few more times to explore ways of expressing the calm movement and meditative feelings I felt the music expressed.

I decided to use pastels and Ink to create the work.

I shared my sketches the other artists in my group and we discussed the how they were reading the ideas in my sketches. We also discussed possible color choices to reflect my visual interpretation about the music.

I considered the sketches and refined the idea. Then I choose one and began to create the final work.
