Mr. Giles Giom U. Sol, was an architect that graduated from University of Santo Tomas as Bachelor of Science in Architecture, he also passed the board exam and get 11th ranked. He was born on May 23, 1995, the son of Engr. Gaudencio Sol Jr. and Mrs. Minda Luz Sol, he was the second to the eldest, and has two siblings. He is 24 years old and currently living at Pangi, Gasan, Marinduque. He studied Elementary in Educational Systems Technological Institute (ESTI) & began his High School in Marinduque National High School (MNHS). Giles Giom is currently working in Municipality of Boac. He also has a talent in drawing and says that, taking as an architect was not really his plan or the first choice, and he was about to take engineering or Fine Arts. But after his assessment during high school, he's been told that things related to arts would fit him, thus leads him in choosing architecture.

WORKS AND PROPOSAL:

The New Marinduque Provincial Library & Heritage Museum

Proposed redevelopment of the Provincial Capitol with the inclusion of a new library & heritage museum as part of the first place. The designed main purposed is to revitalize the deteriorating condition of the Capitol with new structures that will not only enhance its outlook but also respect the heritage that which the original possess.


An 800sqm. Multi-purpose covered court both for sport & non-sport events. Complete with its own stage area, office/ storage, and toilet facility.

A 3storey residence serving as the Family’s private rest house situated in Tagaytay. The design of the structures floor elevations follows the changes in land level of the site taking advantage of its physical features Bisares Residence Zambal, Tagatay City


“Bayawang Farm Rosario Batangas� A 26 Ha. Farm land property in Batangas that houses a variety of livestock products ranging from pigs, dairy poultry & even goats. Each livestock farm is provided with complete facilities such as barns & ranches to effectively raise every animal. The farm is also designed to accommodate tourist as facilities like cabanas& the pavilion are provided, eagerly promoting agri-tourism.

The main facilities where any & all equipment used for all ranches are stored, together with storage use for feeds given to each livestock of the farm.

A 55sqm. Lodging facility for tourist & visitors alike as accommodation in close proximity to the pavilion with an overlooking view of the various ranches of the farm.


A 200sqm. Multi-purpose evens facility provided to support the farm’s agri-tourism, actively promoting its “farm to table” banner, serving cuisines ingredients gained from the farm’s various ranches

Ranch designed to raise cows for dairy & meat products. Cow pens are cable of housing hundreds of cows at once, with area for a free range where they’re pastured.

A 3- storey private residence with basement and roof and deck designed for a family of 5. Floors plan are oriented so that the entire ground floor is provided as their garage, living spaces are at the 2nd floor. Bedrooms at the 3rd floor and leisure area located at the roof deck level.

“BIEMUNDO RESIDENCE”


Roderick Seno is a resident in Brgy. Duyay. Ever since he was a child, he loves art and paintings and it serves as his inspiration to become an amateur artist. During his studies the love of art never leaves his side he always draws things from pencil and paper, then the time comes that he found a teacher who sharpened and harnessed his skills in drawing. During his studies in Duyay Elementary School, that’s where he developed most of his skills using only pencil, charcoal, and white paper with the help of his teacher. Roderick joined many drawing, and postermaking contest and always won the top place among other artists. He also reached regional level in Editorial Cartooning during his study in the said school. Now Roderick Seno is a student in Tapuyan National Highschool and pursuing to be an architect to help his family. Some of his artworks are a fan art that he idolized.

Using oil-pastel and color pencil was the medium material that used in making this portrait. The artist used his own technique and style, his free-hand and sometimes with the used of grid to capture this art. To make more creative he also used application for the portrait.

“MY HAPPY PILL”

Aldrin A. Laurel was a grade four teacher at Tapuyan,Elementary school. He was born on October 18, 1890. Before he entered in Dep-Ed he works in Manila as an artist in a small handicraft. He designs some Christmas items, and some occasional item for export. Aldrin has devoted his time as a sample maker later year in his job. After ten long years spending his time as an artist he decided to go back in teaching. All his work was display to their house as a proof that he was an artist. Even he is a teacher he continues to use his skill by making a educational moral in the school.

This artwork is purely done only just to express one’s idea through the use of pencil and canvas. It is how Mr. Laurel express his hobby through riding horses.

“THE HORSES”


Richard M. Postrado a member of Drawings and artist of Marinduque. He was born on March 23, 1997 and currently live in Tigwi Torijjos, Marinduque. Starting Elementary he knows that he has talent on how to draw. Through this talent he participated in every contest on his school which able to create a masterpiece by drawing. It also leads to his self to become popular together with his artwork to many people.

This is an artwork charcoal drawing; It is made from using charcoal powder, naked brushes that is flat and round, pencil, kneaded and hard eraser that could complete my artwork.

“UNKNOWN GIRL”

Jovan Ernest Tuazon Rey, a first year student who was born on October 19, 2000. He lives in. Banuyo, Gasan, Mariduque. During Elementary day with the subject of Arts he notices that his self that he has an ability on how to draw and create different design. The material that he used in drawing are acrylic color, pencil, oil pastel and other that make his work more presentable. When he was on senior high school he thinks another design like comic, paintings and abstract that he made every vacant time. He also gets an award when he was joined in every contest that describe his self as an artist of masterpiece. This artwork depicts the way and life of Marinduquenon’s as they gathered and continued to enrich their culture and beliefs. The rainbow background serves as the rays of colorful culture they enrich since they enrich it. The stroke of black represents the “100” years sign and the logo of Marinduque remains intact with the culture and its’s people.

“CHARLIE CHAPLIN”


Mark Anthony Rodriguez a college student. He is 19 years old, born on January 19 2000 and live at Barangay Kasily Santa Cruz Marinduque. He was the eldest son. Mark Graduated Elementary and High School at Kasily Elementary School and he take Senior High School at Malindig Institute Foundation Inc. With the strand of TECH-VOC. Drafting was his currently taking at Marinduque State College with the course of BSITDrafting. His hobby is to paint and draw and his dream is to become Graphite Artist someday.

The dimension of this drawing is 6×7. Using different kind of material was needed in this artwork such as pencil, canvas and color pencil if needed. This drawing is a little boy.

“A LITTLE BOY”

Fernando “Nanding” Sena was born on March 30, 1948 in Tondo, Manila to Arturo Sena, a plantsador, whose livelihood was from ironing clothes, and Faustina Belen, a market vendor. Sena’s Family was poor and struggled to provide an education to him. He worked part-time as a newspaper peddler from elementary until high school. This stint led him into honing his drawing skills as a copied illustration from comics and movie ads from unsold papers before returning them to the dealer. As an artist, he is a versatile painter. He is adept in using different mediums and is able to shift from one style to another, from being a cubist-pointillist to realist- impressionist. Sena is recognized for his exquisite still life such as his trademark “pandesal” and “toys” but also tackles a whole range of subjects, such as landscapes, portraits, religious icons, and everyday people.

Sena’s Pandesal is more of a duplicate of the actual bread itself and all of the breads are placed at a various angles together which gives an impression of being crowded and at the uppermost left of the painting is a mug of the coffee. A closer look at the position of the cup and the closeness of the pandesal pieces would indicate that they are held within the pyramidal pictorial framework. Dimension: 3, 696x 2,448 (3.43 MB)

“PANDESAL”


Fernando Belen Sena ( born March 30, 1948) is considered the Father of the Philippine Art Workshop for his tireless efforts in sharing his knowledge and talent with those who wish to learn. An all around painter, Sena was born in Tondo, Manila and earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree majoring in painting from the University of the East in 1971. Sena’s family was poor and struggled to provide an education to him. He worked part-time job as a newspaper peddler from elementary until high school.

For his elementary studies, he attended Gregorio del Pilar Elementary School, where his teachers recognized Sena’s artistic skills. They ask him to draw historical figures and posted his works at the school library. Sena later entered Arellano High School in Santa Cruz, Manila for a vocational course in commercial arts instead of a college preparatory course. This was a backup plan in case he could not enter college, as he would be employable in the print industry with the completion of the course. He graduated from Arellano in 1965. Sena continued working as a newspaper peddler to save money . He returned to Arellano to take up a vocational certificate course in painting and later graduated as class valedictorian in 1966. He was able to save up money for at least one semester of college. However his mother was swindled, leaving his family in debt, so he gave the money he saved to his mother instead. He joined a free workshop of the children’s Museum and Library while he began saving money for college once again. At the end of the workshop, he was given a painting scholarship to the School of Music an Fine Arts of the University of the East, following an interview with the museum’s director. He obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts, Major in Painting in 1971.

Jesse Esplana known as " hands" a self thought visual artist, born in the heart - shape island of Marinduque. He studied culinary arts and enjoyed his career as chief in local and international demand. He felt in his heart that he is naturally an inborn artist, as seen positively throuhg his passion and decication in active participation in group art show anf mounted a solo show. He won some national awards in different art competition. Top 10 on the spot contest freedom art society, 3rd placer in the Let's Paint Art Group challeng, selected best art work in Lakbay Kulay Katuwaan Challenge and one of the finalist in LRT Art 2017.Jesse's love in poetry, music and partly influenced his major works. Inspired through what he sees around, neither social and natural panaroma which he developed the narrataive art style. Like making a narrative story in the canvas as an intrinsic act of pure passion and soulfur expression.


MR. FEDERICO HERNANDEZ

Mr. Federico Hernandez resident at Brgy. Tabi, Boac, started drawing since elementary. At first he accepted doing the drawing projects of students for extra income. His family composed of artist too. His father was a charcoal painter also and he followed in his footstep. Ever since young he really love painting and he continued his painting because it is his passion and it is where he gets his income. Until now he still accepts if there is someone who wants him to make art works.

He makes his art work using charcoal pencil and paper. He’s using a picture given by his customer as his model for his work. The smallest size of his work is 8x10, while the biggest is 20x30.


Kobe Bryant and Gianna Bryan Paul Evangelista Solito has a first year collage student at Marinduque State Collage in Boac Marinduque taking course of Bachelor of Science Industrial Technology, he was born on February 7, 2001 he is 19 years old, resident of Barangay Bachao - Ibaba, Gasan Marinduque daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Solito. He loves painting, drawing or art, he discover himself that he has talent in art when he was in grade 6, he is representative of their school competition at the first time he join art contest. Not only in drawing or painting competition he join, he also join in poster making competition. He always got a price either medal or any gifts he receive. Not only in our province but also in Manila. Not be counted the art he was made since when he was in grade 6. On January 2019 he got a third place in mascara of morion painting contest at Boac Marinduque, and he also continue showing his talent until now. His talent is a very big gift from God. His art work is Kobe Bryant he made this because he inspired in the basketball player who crash on his helicopter with her daughter Gianna. The news is hottest not as long ago as a youth who inspired in basketball player he make an art to show his compassion on the American basketball player who inspire many Filipinos. His art show how they love Kobe.


Arch. Beda M. Magturo is 42 years old; he lives in Mercado, Boac. He studied elementary in Don Luis Hidalgo Memorial School in Boac, Marinduque and graduated on March 1990. He attended secondary in Marinduque Nation High School and graduated on March 1994 and when he was in college, he graduated in Far Eastern University Institution of Architect and Fine Arts in year 2000; he passed the board examination on 2004. In the year 2001- February 2002 he worked as an Architect in MM REJANO ARCHITECTS, on 2002-2009 he worked as an Architect and VP for operation in BOBAR BUILDER Architects and Enginnering, then he became a company Architect in AARON BUILDERS in the year 2009-2016, an Architect-Consultant in Provincial Government of Marinduque on 2009-2017 and as a project Architect in Akbal Builder on 2018 up to present. Arch. Beda Magturo loves to do his art which is architecture actually he has a lot of art work such as the Altar of San Isidro Labrador in Mogpog, Saint Claire in Boac under MM REJANO ARCHITECTS, Convention Center and Sports Complex in Boac, Immaculate Conception Cathedral in Boac, Marinduque State College Engineering Building in MSC Boac, Abby’s Hotel, Renovation of Old Capitol Building and Biglang Awa Shrine in Boac Marinduque but his major design was the Luzon Datum in Hinanggayon, Mogpg, Marinduque, the first project in Provincial Government under the late Carmencita O. Reyes. Until now, he continued in showcasing his talent and he prove that Marinduqunos are gifted when it comes to art. The below designs are chosen to exhibit in Casa Real in Boac as a apart of Marinduque Centennial.

Archuss Thanraj T. Lantita born on May 10, 2005, he is a 15 year old student in Marinduque National High school who lives in Nangka I, Mogpog, Marinduque has a great contribution during the Marinduque Centennial exhibition in Casa Real. His artwork shows the architecture of India (Taj Mahal) and its culture, this artwork is not related to the said centennial but he proudly present this because it is an artwork made by a student from Marinduque. To do this artwork, he used a technique called impressionism to appreciate his artwork by other people. He also used acrylic painting, 1x1 wood and katsa.

Indian culture Taj Mahal Laurence Dave M. Jalotjot born on March 16, 2004, he is a 16 year old student all the way from Hinapulan, Boac, Marinduque. Laurence is a student of Mr. Gerry Lacdao in SPA, he made an artwork of the nude painting of Human Anatomy, and he started doing paintings when he was in grade seven. He created the painting last year when he was in grade nine, the material he used are acrylic painting with a technique called wash technique.

Arvin Jay Jagong is a 16 year old who born on June 25, 2004 in Caganhao, Boac, Marinduque. His artwork is the Pink Rose. He made this


painting when he was a grade 8 student in Marinduque National High School. This painting is one of their project in SPA, he consume 1 week to finish this project because he has no enough time to in his subject (SPA). He used 1x1 wood, katsa and acrylic paints. He admit that he is not really familiar in doing paintings in that day but, with the help of his teacher (Mr. Lacdao) he encourage to do his best and to improve his skills when it comes in art working.

Ian O. Zoleta lives in Lupac, Boac, Marinduque. His painting is about the country Vietnam that uses glass, wood and aluminum, its size is Âź size of illustration board and it is fragmented. Like any other artist, Ian experienced some difficulties, he take so many times in doing this artwork but he did his best to work on it.

Vietnam Valsheshika Yvonne A. Galit is a14 year old student from Marinduque National High School taking the SPA; she was born on October 6, 2005 in Balogo, Boac, Marinduque. She starts in sketching and painting when she was in grade seven. She decided to study in SPA in order to boost her talent and skills. Her painting is about the culture of Indonesia and The Birch Tree that both have glass and wood. Valsheshika is a lovely girl who dreams to be a popular artist someday, her beautiful faces and characteristics

reflects in her artwork.

Rey Mark Lasac is a 16 year old student from Hinapulan, Boac, Marinduque. He started to learn in painting when he was in grade seven because of the help of Mr. Lacdao he learnt to finish his artwork by using some techniques and materials like acrylic paint. He admits that he feels so hard in doing it but instead of giving up he did his best to pursue his dreams as an artist someday.

Flower in the Dirt Ralph Vincent L. Lumalang is a 14 year old student from Marinduque National High School who lives in Ihatub, Boac, Marinduque. His painting is related to the theme because it is about the scenery of Buyabod in Mogpog. The materials he used are acrylic paints, katsa and wood. Before he finish his work, he struggling so many bad experience such as: he feel laziness, then he sometimes got scolded because of some mistakes he made and last is he has a problem Scenery of Buyabod, Mogpog in choosing the appropriate color in his painting but, despite of his hard work he motivate to do his very best not only in the said artwork as well as his other work. Reybien J. Hermosa was born on November 6, 2002. He lives in Tugos, Boac, Marinduque. His painting shows the old wear of people, he used acrylic paints. He started to learn this when he was in grade 7 by the help of Mr. Gerry Lacdao. Mr. Lacdao teaches them on how to use paints, frame and canvass. Like other artists, he experienced difficulty in mixing the paint and how to balance each color but, he said that if you have a dream you need to pursue it and try to understand every challenge you’ve face.


Timothy Andei Monteagudo Montenegro Milambiling, born on April 24, 2002 at Dr. Damian Reyes Provincial Hospital. He lives at Nangka Uno, Mogpog, Marinduque. At a young of age 3, he is fond of watching catoons such as Tom and Jerry, Woody Wood Pecker and other famous cartoons at that time. Because of this, his creative skills in drawing were unlocked. He studied elementary at Mogpog Central School at the age of seven and graduated at the age of 13. Marinduque National High School was the high school he attended; there he became a Visual Artist of the Special Program for the Arts. Oil pastel is the best weapon in his arsenal despite of him being fond of his using acrylic paint and conquered it when he was in grade 8. Thanks to the skills he attained from the knowledge Mudra Duque transferred by his teacher in Visual Arts, Sir Jordan Montera, Sir Nilo Miciano, and Sir Gerardo Lacdao, he won multiple awards. His entire Junior High School was awarded as the Outstanding Visual Artist of the year. He served as an Editorial Cartoonist for the Heart since grade 8 till present. When he was at grade 9, he participated the Sining Pambansa 2018 at Albay along with Benz Audric Rivas and his Visual Arts teacher Sir Gerry Lacdao. Grade was the peak on his life on which he achieved his ambition of winning the school based Science Poster Making Contest, being a Regional Schools Press Conference qualifier, 3rd place at The Regional Festivals of Talents Sining Tanghalan Pintahusay and the highest contest, he has ever achieved so far, being the 2nd placer for The 77th Araw ng Kagitingan and Veteran’s Week National Creative Painting Contest. He is currentl a STEM student still at Marinduque National High School. During the Marinduque Centennial, his painting was being discovered as he exhibits his work in Expo, Boac, Marinduque while the other one has been placed in Casa Real. are Mudra Duque and Takapag Marinduqueno. The material he used in both artworks is acrylic on canvas with the size of 24”x36”.


Blaine Zoe Montaron was born on May 21, 2004 in Malnit, Boac, Marinduque. His artwork shows the beautiful festival of Maybo, Boac, Marinduque called as the “Bulahing Festival” a tradition and culture of residents of Maybo. Its size is “32x”36, he used acrylic color triton cortex paint and different brushes with different sizes. His canvas was made up of wood.

Benz Audric was born on November 25, 2003 in Buliasnin, Boac, Marinduque. When he was young, he used to do some drawings until he studied in class of Sir Lacdao in SPA, here, his skills was being developed because his teacher give all his best to teaching and guiding them to create an excellent artwork. He made his artwork when he was in grade 9 that entitled “Moriones Festival” the unique culture here in Marinduque and the materials he used local canvas and acrylic paint.

Devonn Lei Ivianne M. Olavidez was born on 2003 in Buliasnin, Boac, Marinduque. His artwork shows the product of Buliasnin which is called the “Specila Bibingka” with the size of 32”x36”. The materials he used acrylic paint together with different brushes with different sizes. His painting is related to the theme because it is the original delicacies of Marinduque.

Diwa’y Malaya Q. Loreto was born on October 29, 2005 in Malusak, Boac, Marinduque. His painting shows the Balanacan Port in Mogpog, Marinduque which is known as the entrance and exit point of Marinduque. This painting was made up of canvas and the paint that he used is acrylic paint with a wooden frame.

Rhodz Deniel M. Landoy was born on May 12, 2004 in Balogo, Boac, Marinduque. His proposed artwork is composed of love and hardwork and he used his own style and subject to create this. At first, he didn’t know how to do this kind of painting but because of the help of his teacher he become motivated and have a trust in his self that he can. His artwork shows the beauty of the beach in Buliasnin, Boac, Marinduque that is made of acrylic in canvas.

Geradro “Gerry� Lacdao was born and raised in Boac, Marinduque currently living in the same province. He started working as an artist way back 1987 and had been 1 year of the animation artist of Fil-cartoons Inc., a subsidiary company of Hanna Barbera Production of America which is the famous in the following shows such as Tom & Jerry, Flint Stone, Scooby Doo and many more. He took up college with a course of Bachelor of Secondary Education major in T.L.E. After graduation he went back to Manila to continue his venture in art. He had been employed again as animation artist to some animation studios like Top Peg and others. While working in animation studios, he at the same time conducting painting exhibit in some parts in Metro Manila together with some aspiring artist in the country. He then went to Thailand as an Art teacher and worked there in two years and decided to continue his profession as an art teacher here in the Philippines. He is currently a Technical Drafting and Visual Art Teacher in Marinduque National High School. He is the teacher of those aspiring students who are mentioned above.
