He is best known for his role as Gil Grissom in the CBS drama series CSI: Crime Scene Investigation (2000–2015), for which he won a Screen Actors Guild Award and was nominated for a Golden Globe Award; he was further nominated for three Primetime Emmy Awards as a producer of the show. He is a senior lecturer in drama at Flinders University in Adelaide, Australia, and former director of the Centre for Theatre and Performance at Monash University in Melbourne. On February 3, 2009, Petersen received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

DR. RANDY NOBLEZA (AUTHOR) BRIEF BIOGRAPHY Randy T. Nobleza is a local, area and Philippine Studies specialist. He obtained both his undergraduate and graduate degree in Philippine Studies at the University of Philippines- Diliman where he was awarded Gawad Chancellor University Scholar in 2005. He also garnered the Outstanding Dissertation when he finished his Doctorate in Philippine Studies – Language, Culture and Media at De La Salle University Manila. Dr. Nobleza was selected a fellow of the World Press Photo in 2012 at the Konrad Adenauer Asian Center for Journalism and a recipient of a fellowship from the Philippine Center for Investigative Journalism in 2014 and 2015. In 2016, he was awarded a fellowship from the Southeast Asian Studies Regional Exchange Program (SEASREP) Foundation and became a national fellow in media criticism during the 7th Kritika National Workshop on Art and Cultural Criticism. He is also the director of Centro ng Wika at Kultura.
