The film aims to have awareness to a performance based approach in teaching, where the student will not only learn theoretically but through experience. The film also implies good values supporting a Filipino saying “ang di lumingon sa pinaggalingan ay di makakarating sa paroroonan” and the values of being grateful to the ones who believed in us.

Directed by: Ezriel Mangui ————————————————————————————— Cast: Jayson Mistal, Maic Doroin, Marc Doroin, Mr. Dennis Jardeleza ————————————————————————————— Genre: Inspirational, Motivational ————————————————————————————— Duration: 1 minute

Mr. Jayson Mistal is a first year Social Work college student in Marinduque State College. Before "Saklay" was created. He first thought of making a film of a girl, from a poor family, who wants to feel like any other class A well being. But he realized that the story was too obvious, so he thought of another idea and reflected to his friend who, he think, has a perfect fit for the story. So the story "saklay" was all about the real story of his friend "Von" who suffered a family problem due to his Father's illness.

SAKLAY

Ezriel Mangui

Currently an engineering student of Marinduque State College, from a God-fearing, musically oriented family, with a passion for music and the arts. Started his first drawings since 2 and became a movie/ short film maker and photographer on my high school years. Freelance photographer/videographer, cellist of the Musika sa Isla, an advocate to the youth, a leader to many, a follower of Christ.

The story was played by Von as himself and several actors from our school to portray his past, and later on had an interview with tito Toto(Von's Father). It was all about how von was raised by his father alone and how they survived their biggest problem. It was portrayed that Von used his talent to provide for his family. Somehow, his father stated how proud he is of what his son became.
