THE ONBOARD EXPERIENCE

MSC Cruises will preserve the uniqueness of the onboard experience whilst ensuring that the health and safety of the guests and the crew is protected. MSC Cruises will organise activities to ensure that guests can practice responsible social distancing. Whenever social distancing cannot be met, in public places such as in the lifts and the theatre or when moving around the ship, guests will be asked to wear a face mask.

Guests will continue to enjoy rich experiences including award-winning shows, world-class dining, excursions, family activities, boutique shopping, beauty and fitness services, engaging events and much more.

RESTAURANT, BARS & LOUNGES

Service will be adapted to respect social distancing: all meals and drinks will be served to guests at their table. Self-service at the buffet will be temporarily suspended, and the food will be plated and served to guests. For a contactless experience, guests will access restaurant and bar menus from their personal mobile device by scanning a QR code. To minimise risks, MSC Cruises has adapted the processes for ordering, preparing, delivering, consuming and paying for food and beverage services.

SHORE EXCURSIONS

We recommend our guests go ashore with an MSC Cruises Shore Excursion, as they will adhere to the same high standards of health and safety as on board.

ENTERTAINMENT AND ACTIVITIES

We’re introducing newly designed activities for smaller group sizes, with themed events, fun games, kids and family activities, talent shows, fitness, dance and more. Shows, activities and Kids Club will be available by reservation at no extra charge. Guests can browse the onboard programme digitally using MSC for Me* technologies and book activities by phone or in-person at dedicated desks. As the capacity of the theatre will be reduced to ensure social distancing, the entertainment schedule will be extended so all our guests can still enjoy a great variety of award-winning shows.

OUTDOOR AREAS AND POOLS

All open decks will be accessible and pools, whirlpool baths and the aquapark will be available with a reduced occupancy to ensure social distancing. Sunbeds will be separated in clusters, sanitised after every use, and deeper sanitation will take place every night.

GUEST SERVICES AND CUTTING-EDGE TECHNOLOGIES

A new onboard Information Centre will be available by phone to avoid queues. Remote desks will be set up on embarkation day to manage in-person questions. Guests should always call before going to any desk for information. In addition, guests will be encouraged to use digital services to find information such as MSC for Me*. Cashless payments will be highly recommended.

There's always so much to do on an MSC cruise that kids will never get bored. And of course they're not alone - it's an experience for the whole family to enjoy together in the safe, fun environment of our cruise ships.

We organise 5 different Kids’ Clubs on board. All their activities are supervised by experienced childcare personnel trained to work with children. All our play areas are designed to ensure the complete safety and comfort of your children.

• Baby Club (under 3)

We provide a dedicated area and a range of facilities for babies and toddlers to enjoy. Two special services are available: MSC Baby Time, when babies can play with their parents, and MSC Baby Care, when parents can leave their babies with the Youth Staff.

• Mini Club (from 3 to 6)

A schedule of the daily activities planned during your cruise.

• Juniors Club (from 7 to 11)

Let your kids dive into a world of entertainment with our sport tournaments, hi-tech games and art & craft activities. Every day is a new experience with a dedicated programme and the chance to meet new friends. Dinner with our staff, show time and a dedicated family disco will keep them happy all evening too. The club is open until 23.00.

• Young Club (from 12 to 14) and Teen Club (from 15 to 17) Teenagers can look forward to

having the time of their lives on board, from sports and competitions, dance contests and social network games to Wii, Xbox and PS4 tournaments. In the evening, they can enjoy the teen disco, Karaoke, White Party, Flashmob and many other themed events. The club is open until 23.00.

Kids’ Corner and Menus

Tasty and healthy dishes are available at the dedicated kids’ areas in the Buffet during mealtimes and the restaurants offer kids’ menus created to cater for a variety of allergies and other special dietary needs.

Children’s dining

Special kids' selections are always available in the Main Restaurants, including a dedicated menu for 6 to 12 months. There is also a dedicated Kids’ Corner in the Buffet.

• Happy Dinners*: When your children have finished their dinner at your table, we can escort them to the Mini and Juniors Club to play while you savour the rest of your meal.

Excursions for families or without Kids

We offer a selection of shore excursions designed especially for families. These tours are accompanied by MSC Mini and Juniors Club staff, always begin after 09:00 and last no more than 3 or 4 hours. If you want to enjoy an MSC shore excursion on your own, you have the option of leaving your kids (aged between 3 and 11 years) in the expert care of our Youth Staff on board.

The MSC Foundation leads and advances all the MSC Group's life-changing conservation and humanitarian commitments, saving thousands of lives.

Our programmes include supporting researchers and marine experts to restore the coral reefs and to protect the marine ecosystem at Ocean Cay; supporting UNICEF in the Ivory Coast to foster a women-empowering recycling market that makes plastic waste into low-cost bricks to build much-needed classrooms.

In Haiti, we're supporting the Andrea Bocelli Foundation's life-changing Mobil Clinic.

RESTORING THE OCEAN ENVIRONMENT

The United Nations estimates all wild coral risks extinction from climate change this century. The Ocean Cay Marine Restoration Programme is our effort to prevent that. The MSC Foundation and a panel of conservation experts are working to protect, restore and nurturing 64 square miles of marine waters and ecosystems populated by one of the most vulnerable sets of coral species on the planet. At the same time, we are in the process to set up a biological laboratory for research and education purposes.

PRESERVING AND PROTECTING THE OCEANS

MSC Cruises has been committed to a path of sustainability since its inception in 2003 and the journey moves apace each and every day.

Every ship class that the Company introduces further enhances the level of environmental performance of the previous ship class and is equipped with an extensive range of state-of-the-art features and innovative technologies.

A major Company focus is on continuously improving the quality of air emissions and the entire fleet will be equipped with exhaust gas cleaning systems by the end of 2023, which reduces emissions significantly. All future ships will be equipped with active

emissions technology to create even cleaner results.

All ships in MSC Cruises’ fleet are equipped with modern and effective systems to reduce, recycle and reuse any waste that is generated on board. Moreover, in an effort to eliminate single-use

Which travel documents do I need?

Each cruiser, before departure, will have the responsibility to acquire the specific identity document and any visa required for the chosen cruise and to verify its residual validity; otherwise it will not be possible to embark and you will not be granted a refund. Are there any medical requirements for cruising?

We politely refer Guests with disabilities or reduced mobility to Clause nr 7 of the Booking Conditions. Any Guest with a condition that may affect fitness to travel, or any other special requirements, is asked to provide full details by filling in the appropriate form at the time of booking, and may be asked to submit a doctor’s certificate. The Company can refuse the booking or the carriage of any Guest who is deemed to be unfit for travel or whose condition may constitute a danger to themselves, the vessel, aircraft and/or other Guests on the grounds of safety. Any specific transport and/ or lodging and/or assistance needs must be communicated at the time the reservation is made, and are subject to availability. Ships are not equipped with specialised rooms, equipment or medical assistance. MSC Cruises is not responsible for any consequences resulting from a Guests condition, whether or not it is evident. No refund or indemnity is owed to any Guest who cannot begin or continue the trip due to their own condition. See the Ship Doctor as soon as possible if you experience any gastroenteritis symptoms (diarrhoea, vomiting) over the 48h prior to boarding.

Can I cruise during pregnancy?

Pregnant women must, at the time of booking, produce a medical certificate from a doctor confirming the week of pregnancy and their fitness to travel on board a cruise ship for the period of the cruise and for the actual itinerary. MSC Cruises cannot accept a booking by, or carry, any Guest who will be 24 weeks pregnant or more by the end of the Cruise.

Do I need any vaccination?

Please consult your National Health Service prior to the cruise for information regarding recommended vaccinations. MSC Cruises will take no responsibility for, and will not be held liable for any consequences caused by Guests travelling onboard whom have not adhered to the recommendations provided to them from the relevant health authorities.

Can I bring my pet on board?

No dogs are allowed on board, except for recognised assistance animals. If you wish to bring an assistance dog on board, please request approval to do so when booking.

Can I bring visitors on board?

For security reasons, visitors are not permitted on board.

What is the smoking policy on board?

In line with global standards, smoking areas on board are fewer than non-smoking areas and are indicated by signage and ashtrays. Smoking (including e-cigarettes) is not permitted in cabins, on cabin balconies and anywhere not indicated by clear signage and ashtrays. Smoking where not designated is subject to a deep cleaning fee, continued smoking in non-smoking areas can ultimately lead to disembarkation. We remind you that throwing cigarette butts or anything else overboard at sea is strictly prohibited by international maritime laws.

Can I book my sunbed?

No, sunbeds are available on board at no charge, but they cannot be booked. Guests are kindly requested not to occupy them with personal items during any absences of over 30 minutes. Beach towels for use at the pools are available in your cabin. These should be left in your cabin at the end of your cruise. Missing pool towels may be charged to your account.

For a small charge, the exclusive Solarium offers a private sunbathing and relaxation area.

Where can I leave my valuables?

Safe deposit boxes are provided in all cabins. The Company assumes no responsibility for loss or theft of money or valuables stored in the cabin, in luggage or left unattended.

Are there any Safety & Security rules I should know?

A cruise isn’t just one of the most relaxing ways to see the world, it’s also one of the safest. That’s because every cruise ship has to be built, equipped and operated along and beyond the strict requirements of the international maritime treaty known as the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS) Convention, developed by the International Maritime Organization, the UN agency responsible for shipping. At the beginning of each cruise, crew members guide all Guests through a mandatory drill (or briefing, in secondary ports) to ensure they are familiar with what to do and where to go in the unlikely event of an emergency. During this drill/briefing, additional safety information (how to put on a life jacket, etc.) is presented in various languages. In addition, our Officers and crew complete extensive training and conduct various weekly and monthly safety and security drills, in preparation for the very unlikely event of an emergency. Our fleet complies with the requirements of the Cruise Vessel Security and Safety Act (CVSSA 2010). Guests are protected by a comprehensive system of security, including the MSC Cruises Access Control and Screening System, which requires proof of identity to access with tickets and on a pre-approved list. Also all luggage must pass through strict check-points,

cabins are protected by locks and individually equipped with safe boxes, public areas are monitored by cameras, and highly trained Ship Security Guards continuously patrol the ship and are on emergency call 24/7.

Are there any Environmental rules I should keep in mind?

MSC Cruises SA applies a strict environmental policy on board its ships and ashore. Each ship in our fleet has a dedicated Environmental Officer who oversees environmental compliance and implementation of procedures. Our ships are equipped with various waste separation bins and we encourage our Guests to always dispose their garbage in the corresponding containers. Throwing rubbish into the sea is strictly forbidden by MSC Cruises SA rules and internal laws, and any violation may result in a fine and or legal action.

We also ask our Guests to respect the environment at the destinations we call. Let’s all play our part to protect the earth and the oceans.

Could my itinerary change?

Yes. The Master of any vessel can decide whether to deviate from the advertised or ordinary itinerary, to delay or anticipate any sailing, to omit or change scheduled ports of call, to arrange for substantially equivalent carriage by another vessel, to tow or be towed or assist other vessels or to perform any similar act which he will consider advisable or necessary for the safety of the Guest, of the vessel and crew.

How do I manage my booking?

Once you have booked an MSC cruise, either via the web portal or your Travel Agent, you will receive a Booking Confirmation number. With this booking number and your personal data access to the personal area of the website at www.msccruises.com.au or www.msccruises.co.nz where you can manage your booking and personalize your cruise.

Are there any services I can book to enrich my cruise before embarking?

How do I check in?

Once you have booked your cruise, you can complete the online check-in process yourself, by visiting www.mscwebcheckin.com. If you booked your cruise through a travel agent, you also have the option of asking them to complete the web check-in process for you.

Could my cabin number be changed once on board?

Yes, the company reserves the right to assign the passenger a cabin other than the one provided as long as they have similar characteristics.

LUGGAGE,DRESS CODE PACKING ADVICE

What is the luggage allowance?

Guests are encouraged to limit their checked luggage to two suitcases per person (not exceeding 90x75x43 cm in size and 23 kg in weight per bag), and two pieces of hand luggage per person (not exceeding 56x45x25 cm in size and 23 kg in weight per bag).

On all MSC Grand Voyages to/from The Caribbean, South America, South Africa and The United Arab Emirates, the above mentioned guidelines represent the maximum limit allowed per person. In any case, the maximum amount of luggage in each cabin must not exceed 100 kg and/or 8 pieces among all passengers in the same cabin.

Any piece of luggage exceeding the allowance will not be accepted at Check-In. Guests intending to exceed these limits are invited to contact MSC Cruises directly or via their travel agents at the time of booking for information on how to ship luggage in excess of the free luggage allowance separately via freight or cargo, at an additional charge.

Prams and wheelchairs are always allowed on board, but must be declared at the time of booking confirmation. For cruises including flight connections, please follow any instructions given by the airline.

Guests travelling to the departure port by air should check the size and luggage weight limitations at the time of booking. Airlines reserve the right to charge a supplement for excess luggage. MSC Cruises accepts no responsibility for issues arising during airport departure or arrival. In the unfortunate event of a luggage handling error by the airline, we offer a luggage recovery service.

Are there any forbidden items?

Port Security has the duty of searching Guests and luggage to confiscate any article internationally known as dangerous for the safety and security of Guests, crew and ship. Such items will be confiscated and not returned. If explosive material, guns or illegal drugs are detected, law enforcement will be immediately alerted.

Examples of such items can be alcohol, firearms, sharp objects such as knives, blades and scissors, flammable and explosive material, prohibited items with heating elements or open flames (such as clothing irons, kettles, hotplates, candles, incense), drones.

We reserve the right to remove any food and beverages present in Guests’ luggage.

If purchased in a port of call or aboard, these will be returned the evening before disembarkation. Please also note that guests are not permitted to bring unpackaged food on board.

What happens if my luggage gets lost? What if this happens when reaching the port by air?

Please note that any valuable luggage travels at your own risk. MSC suggests to take an adequate travel insurance. Should our guests lose their luggage while travelling to the port by air, we will make every effort to track your luggage in collaboration with the Lost & Found offices of each airport. Where possible, we will have it sent directly to the ship at one of the subsequent ports of call. In order to help you trace any lost luggage in the most efficient way, we ask you to present a copy of the P.I.R. (Property Irregularity Report) prepared at the Lost Property Office of the airport where you reported the luggage missing.

What is the dress code on board and what should I pack for my cruise?

Make sure you pack appropriate clothing for the various activities you will undertake during your cruise, such as parties, dinners, sports and shore excursions.

• For everyday life on board, casual wear is recommended.

• For informal evenings, we recommend summery dresses for women and a lightweight jacket for men.

• For Elegant evenings, the dress code is more formal. We suggest a dinner jacket, or dark suit and tie for men and a dressy outfit, formal gown, or cocktail dress for women.

• We organise various daytime and evening Theme Parties on board. You may wish to bring 60s and 70s floral gear for the Flower Glory Party, white clothing for the White Party.

• For sports lovers, gym shoes and tracksuit are musthaves when using our cutting-edge gym and attending yoga and dance courses, where available.

• We also recommend you bring a pullover or shawl to help with the changes in temperature between the air-conditioned interior of the ship and the deck areas, especially when sailing in polar area.

• For shore excursions, which may include visits to religious sites, we advise that appropriate clothing be worn (covered knees and shoulders, no low-cut tops). You can leave at home: pool towels, hairdryers (you’ll find these in your cabin); cigarettes, sun cream or beauty products (all available in the onboard shops). Keep in your hand luggage: travel documents, luggage tags (to be attached on arrival at the embarkation port), money, jewellery, electronic devices, medicines, nappies, and any other valuables or items you may need at short notice.

EMBARKATION, DISEMBARKATION, PARKING & TRANSFER

How does the embarkation process work?

Embarkation begins at the check-in time shown on your cruise ticket.

Check-in closes 2 hours before ship's departure in all embarkation ports. Before arriving at the port, please ensure that all personal details shown on the embarkation form in your e-ticket are checked and correct. You will be required to show your embarkation form with corresponding document before boarding.

Main steps for embarkation

At the terminal:

1. Drop off your luggage: deliver your luggage to the drop off point or to the designated staff, who will then have it sent directly to your cabin. All bags must be labelled beforehand with your name and surname, the name of the ship, the cabin number and the date and port of departure. Your luggage tag can be found in your e-ticket.

2. Go to the embarkation area: make sure to keep at hand all necessary travel documents required for the cruise along with your embarkation form on your cruise ticket or via MSC for Me app and present it to the staff. Collect your Cruise Card and MSC wrist band (if available). Guests of the MSC Yacht Club will find an exclusive Check-In area and will be assisted with their luggage by the butler team at the terminal, who will escort them to the dedicated line for priority Check-In. On request, the butler will also unpack guests’ suitcases.

3. Proceed to the security control. Please note that staff may search you and/or your luggage and confiscate any articles that could represent a safety risk.

4. Board the ship: your security picture will be taken if you have not already done so via the MSC for Me app or web check-in (if available). Then proceed to your cabin.

On board:

6. Go to your cabin. Your Cruise card will serve as your cabin key, this magnetic card can also be used to pay for products and services onboard. For MSC Yacht Club Guests, it is also used to access the MSC Yacht Club area.

7. Activate your Cruise Card for onboard purchases. (See the Onboard Payment Systems section below for further information on how to do this.)

8. Take part in the obligatory safety drill.

9. Don’t miss the MSC Cruise Guide, an important presentation where we will tell you all you need to know in order to live your cruise to the full. Depending on the ship and the port you are embarking the procedures might differ. MSC Staff present in port will guide you during the embarkation process accordingly.

Fly & Cruise embarkation

For cruises including flight connections, Guests should check-in on the airline website anytime from 23 hours before departure or at the airline Check-In desk at least two hours before the flight. On arrival at the destination airport, Guests will find cruise assistance and transfers to the port (3 hours prior to scheduled departure time unless otherwise specified).

How does the disembarkation process work?

Instructions for disembarkation procedures will be given on board. Don’t miss the disembarkation talk in your language on the last days of your cruises. Arrival and departure timings, including final disembarkation, might differ from those indicated in the ship itinerary due to operational needs.

When planning your return home (flight or train) please consider that disembarkation might take up to 2-3 hours after the actual arrival of the ship.

Is there any transfer service available?

MSC organizes various transfers services which are either available in your package or on purchase. If you have arranged your flight independently, MSC Cruises offers the possibility to book an individual airport transfer (by bus or by private car).

The transfer service is also available to reach the main train stations linked to your port of embarkation.

The booking of the transfer is available by contacting your travel agent or MSC Cruises or directly during your cruise by Guest Relation Service on board.

ONBOARD PAYMENT SYSTEMS

How do I pay for on board purchases?

After embarking and collecting your Cruise Card you should activate it for onboard purchases by registering your credit/ debit/prepaid card or by making a deposit. You must register your credit card to activate your account within 48 hours, at any of the Cruise Card Activation Points located around the ship. These new devices let you

register your card or make a deposit simply, rapidly and securely. For credit cards you will be asked to enter your PIN number. Alternatively, you can leave a cash deposit at the Reception – Guest Service.

Travelling with cash: European Community Regulation 1889/2005 states that: “Any natural person entering or leaving the Community and carrying cash of a value of Euro 10,000 or more shall declare that sum to the competent authorities of the Member state through which he is entering or leaving the Community in accordance with this Regulation”. Please consult your travel agent and/ or the relevant authorities (embassies, consulates or other local authorities) to find out whether there are any other restrictions to carrying cash on your itinerary.

The Currency on board for cruises in the Mediterranean, Northern Europe, United Arab Emirates, Antilles, and MSC Grand Voyages departing from Europe, the onboard currency is the Euro (€). For cruises in the Caribbean, South America, South Africa and Far East as well as MSC Grand Voyages going to Europe, the onboard currency is the US Dollar ($).

At the end of your cruise, you can settle your final bill in any of the following three ways.

By credit card: the following credit cards are accepted: Visa, Discover, MasterCard, Diners, JCB and American Express. If you choose to pay by credit card, your account will be closed automatically at the end of the cruise, so there is no need to go to the Reception - Guest Service. Please make sure that your credit card is enabled for use abroad.

By debit or prepaid card: you may use a debit/prepaid card to deposit funds on your Cruise Card. Any amount not spent during your cruise will be reimbursed in cash in the onboard currency at the Reception - Guest Service on the final morning before disembarkation. The following debit/prepaid cards are accepted: Maestro, Visa Debit, Visa Electron, MasterCard Debit. Please make sure that your debit/prepaid card is enabled for use abroad. In cash: any amount deposited in cash and not spent during your cruise will be reimbursed in cash in the onboard currency at the Reception - Guest Service on the final morning before disembarkation.

Please note that Travellers’ cheques and personal cheques are not accepted.

MEDICAL SERVICE REDUCED MOBILITY

What happens if I get ill on board?

Each of our ships has a well-equipped Medical Centre, supervised by a doctor and medical personnel. Charges will be made for medical services, so please ensure that your medical/travel insurance covers the cost of any treatment received on board. Charges are displayed in the Medical Centre and will be debited to your Cruise Card. The Medical Centre is open at the times advertised in the ship’s Daily Program. Emergency services are available around the clock by calling the Medical Emergency number. While the range of medications held on board is comprehensive, they may not satisfy your precise personal needs. For this reason, we always suggest that you carry your own supply of any prescribed medicines.

We encourage Guests to wash their hands with soap and hot water after using the restroom and before eating: it is one of the best ways to prevent illnesses from starting or spreading.

Are there dedicated facilities for guests with reduced mobility?

Yes. Owned or rented scooters and wheelchairs must be stored and batteries recharged in your stateroom/cabin (avoiding to connect when using the hairdryer). Keep in mind that the scooter minimizes the available space within your stateroom.

Due to safety considerations, wheelchairs and scooters cannot be stored in the corridors.

Your personal scooter should be able to fit in a standard stateroom with a limited entry doorway (58 cm MSC Divina, MSC Armonia, 68 cm MSC Lirica, MSC Sinfonia and MSC Opera, 62 cm others). If your scooter is larger than the dimension reported for your chosen ship, you shall book an H stateroom or rent a smaller scooter. Segways and other similar vehicles cannot be operated on board. They shall be confiscated and made available only if used in port. There might be ports or tender services you may not access with a mobility device for structural constrictions and limitations beyond our control.

DINING

When and where can I dine on board?

• Dinner is served in the Main Restaurants* in a two sittings Classic way Early dining and Late dining options are available on board MSC Meraviglia, MSC Seaside, MSC Seaview, MSC Seashore, MSC Bellissima, MSC Grandiosa and MSC Virtuosa offering various dinner sittings, according to availability and ship’s itinerary. Guests dine in a dedicated restaurant enjoying service from the same waiter at the same table and time each evening.

• My Choice is a dining option available to Aurea Experience Guests. Guests can dine any time they prefer during main restaurant’s opening hours. On MSC Armonia, MSC Sinfonia, MSC Opera and MSC Lirica, Aurea and Fantastica Experience Guests staying in Suites and Balcony Cabins can enjoy dinner at a dedicated restaurant with My Choice Dining.

*Bella Experience Guests will be accommodated in the main restaurants (upon availability) or in the Buffet restaurant enjoying the same menu and service. Fantastica Guests will have a priority in choice of dinner sitting.

What if I need to follow a special diet?

Most special diets can be catered for on board if requested when booking your cruise.

• Kosher meals (pre-packaged breakfast, lunch and dinner) may be available on board for an additional charge starting from €25 pp/day. Kosher meals can be consumed in the main restaurants and must be booked at least 3 weeks before ship’s departure.

• Halal products (beef, lamb and poultry) may be available on board following former request of the guest at least two months before departure.

• MSC Cruises is certified by Bureau Veritas to provide gluten-free menus worldwide (food code < 20 ppm*) in the main restaurants of MSC Virtuosa, MSC Grandiosa, MSC Bellissima, MSC Seaside, MSC Seaview, MSC Seashore, MSC Meraviglia, MSC Preziosa, MSC Divina, MSC Splendida, MSC Fantasia, MSC Magnifica, MSC Poesia, MSC Orchestra and MSC Musica.

We work closely with the Associazione Italiana Celiachia (Italian Celiac Association) for these ships cruising in the

Mediterranean and in Northern Europe.

On MSC Armonia, MSC Sinfonia, MSC Opera and MSC Lirica, you can find pre-packaged, gluten-free products such as snacks, biscuits, croissants, sponge cakes and muffins. Naturally our offering of top-quality, gluten-free menus will also be extended to the newest ships in our fleet. The quality certification process will be completed as soon as possible after the launch of each ship, so please check the availability of gluten-free menus on these ships when booking.

* MSC gluten free menus are suitable for gluten intolerance, but not in case of gluten allergy. Please note that gluten free menus are not available at the buffet restaurants.

Are THERE any kids clubs?

Yes. You can register your children for the Kids’ Clubs on board or complete the subscription form online before boarding. Once on board just bring us the printed form, along with your Cruise Card and those of your children. We organise 5 different Kids’ Clubs on board, one for each age group. All their activities are supervised by experienced childcare personnel trained to work with children of all nationalities.

All our play areas are designed to ensure the complete safety and comfort of your children.

• Dedicated products: to make life easier for families with under 3s, we have a series of Chicco baby productsfrom bottle warmers to strollers, bouncers to backpacks - that you can use during your cruise, subject to availability. Ask at the Baby Club for details.

• Chicco Corner: among the shops on board, you’ll find a Chicco corner with a selection of great products for babies and toddlers, including nappies.

• ID wristbands All children under the age of 12 will be given an ID wristband on embarkation. For safety reasons, it must be worn at all times during the cruise.

• Cruise card: Childrens cruise card will also be activated for purchasing so make sure they do not use it without your authorisation. Should you wish to diactivate this option, you can do so at Reception - Guest Service.

• Medical service: For your safety and convenience, there is a 24-hour medical service on board for any emergencies, and over-the-counter medicines can be purchased onboard. We also offer a long-distance paediatric medical service in partnership with the Giannina Gaslini Paediatric Institute in Genoa, for procedures such as diagnosis, radiology and monitoring.

• 24-hour Room Service: with our 24-hour Room Service, you can ask for warm milk to be brought to your cabin or kids’ meals to be reheated at any time of day.

• My Smart Card: give your children a taste of independence with a Smart Card. This fun prepaid (€30.00 or €50.00) card can be used by children over 7 years of age to make small purchases on board, and also doubles up as a cabin key. To purchase a Smart Card, fill in the check-in form and hand it to one of the guest service agents.

• Happy Birthday: If you’re celebrating a child’s birthday during your cruise, you can make it even more fun by ordering a special Doremi cake. Just contact the Reception - Guest Service or the Maitre d’Hotel for details.

• Kids around the clock: give your kids the thrill of staying up late with their friends in the Mini and Juniors Club, leaving you free to enjoy a great night out on board! Operating from 23:00 to 02:00, take advantage of this service by asking for a Booking Form at the Mini and Juniors Club.

• Stay in touch: when you leave your kids in our care, you can opt for extra peace of mind by requesting a Pager or Deck Phone from the Mini Club, subject to availability. Then relax in the knowledge that we can contact you at any time.

Are there any special dining services for families?

Kids’ Corner and Menus: Tasty and healthy dishes are available at the dedicated kids’ areas in the Buffet during mealtimes and restaurants offer kids’ menus including a dedicated selection for 6 to 12 months in the main restaurants' menus. The recipes were evaluated by a nutritionist from the “Osservatorio Chicco”, taking into consideration the nutritional needs of different age groups. Set your Kids free: When your children have finished their kids’ menu dinner at your table, we can escort them to the Mini and Juniors Club to play while you savour the rest of your meal (Happy Dinners) or drop your kids off at the Mini and Juniors Club on your way to dinner (Fun time Dinners). What are my main duties as a parent with a minor on board?

Minors on board must be supervised by a parent or legal guardian at all times and are welcome at the activities on board or at shore excursions, provided that a parent or legal guardian is present. Guests under the age of 18 are prohibited from disembarking the ship unless accompanied by a legal guardian. Children cannot remain on board if their parents or legal guardians go ashore, unless expressly authorized by the onboard staff.

Are there any areas not accessible by minors?

Yes, we have entrance restrictions for minors willing to enter the thermal area, the fitness area and receive specific treatments as SPA treatments, Medi Spa, hair dresser and manicure and pedicure. Please ask in the above mentioned areas which rules apply to your child. Minors aren't allowed to stay and play in the Casino. They are only permitted to transit the area of the Casino so to access other areas of the ship.

These expertly-designed new excursions use special needs vehicles and are currently available on our Mediterranean and Caribbean cruises. In addition, all our wheelchair-friendly excursions are easy to identify, being highlighted by a wheelchair icon on the www. msccruises.com.au or www.msccruises.co.nz website, at your travel agent and on board. All MSC Cruises excursions are also marked with a difficulty level. Guests using foldable wheelchairs must be accompanied by their own companion to assist them getting on and off coaches. The shore excursions can be booked, modified or cancelled either up to 2 days before cruise departure, via the website or travel agent. On board excursions can be cancelled or modified up to 48 hours prior to the commencement of the booked shore excursion. How do i get a refund for my prepaid excursion that was cancelled by MSC once on board the ship?

In the case that MSC must cancel your shore excursion due to circumstances beyond their reasonable control, MSC will make every effort to accommodate you on another excursion. If you do not wish to take another excursion, a refund will automatically be posted to your onboard account.

OCEAN CAY MSC MARINE RESERVE

How can I get to Ocean Cay?

The ship is docked at the island so Guests can come and go at any time. Getting around the island on foot is easy since everything is close by, maps are readily available, and MSC friendly staff are there to help Guests. A network of paths provides access to every location, a 5-10-minute walk will take you to most places, as the

most distant area is only a 20-minute walk away. But if you want to get around effortlessly, you can use a complimentary electric tram service.

Is there any Wi-fi service on Ocean Cay?

Ocean Cay is equipped with WiFi. To stay connected, you can buy pre-paid WIFI packages, which include WIFI connection on Ocean Cay. Internet packages are available to book through our website and on board the ship.

Where can I get food and drinks on the island?

On the island itself there are several options including a few bars, a complimentary buffet, and informal food carts. The Ocean Cay beverage offering may not include the full onboard beverage selection. MSC Yacht Club guests can benefit of full island beverage menu. Ocean Cay is a marine reserve and we are committed to preserving this natural paradise in its pristine state. Our aim is to minimise unnecessary waste, while providing our guests with an ample choice of services.

How can I book my excursions?

Excursions can be booked prior to the cruise via the MSC website, On board the ship at the Excursions’ Desk or via the MSC for Me app (only on smart Ships) or at the Welcome Centre, located at the plaza directly on Ocean Cay itself.

What is the payment method on the island?

All payments on the island are managed via the Cruise Card. The only place that does not accept the Cruise Card is the Bahamian Shop, only USD cash is accepted.

Can I do some Shopping?

Here you can choose from a wide selection of Ocean Cay souvenirs and gifts for both adults and children, ranging from T-shirts, caps, beach items, towels and accessories. You will also find beach essentials like sunscreen lotions and lip balms, or local arts and crafts at the Bahamian Straw Market.

What kind of activities can I do on the island?

Guests can rent water activities’ equipment in the rental station located on each of the island’s beaches: here Guests will find snorkelling gear for the whole family, kayaks, paddle boards, inner tubes and other water sports equipment.

Can I book a large space for a special celebration?

Yes. Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve is flanked by two smaller islands, one of which can be rented privately for the day. The island can accommodate a maximum of 30 guests. Rental of the island for 1 day includes: a private boat that will take our guest and their party to the island and remain at their disposal; a marquee, sun beds and loungers; food and drinks; inner tubes and inflatable floats.

Can Guests get spa treatments on the island?

Yes, for those Guests looking to relax and rejuvenate on the island, at The Spa Ocean Cay there will be services provided by the award winning MSC Aurea spa with a selection of relaxing body and facial treatments. All the beauty products used on the island are bio-degradable and eco-friendly.

Satellite Internet Access is available in all common areas of the ship. Please note that Satellite Internet performance onboard a ship is not like using a high-speed broadband connection ashore. What is the difference between adults’ and kids wristbands?

For adults the wristband allows:

What is the voltage on board?

Electricity on board all ships is supplied at 110/220V in your cabin. If you require an electrical adapter, please ask at the Reception - Guest Service.
