Informational Essay of Fears and Phobias
By:Tabitha Bridgman
Class orange
Ah fears and phobias. Two different things with different ways on how to control them What? You want to know how they are different? Of course! Let’s dive into how fears and phobias are different and how to control them
What are the differences between fears & phobias?
Let’s start with the differences. One difference is how both are controlled differently. Since fears are small, they are usually taken care of in about a day or two. But because phobias are much bigger, they are taken care of in months, even years! Another difference is how they both are caused in different ways. You see, fears are caused when we see danger. When we see danger, the brain sends signals to activate the nervous system. This causes a faster heartbeat, increase in blood pressure, and rapid breathing And then the brain activates the “fight or flight” response This ethier tells the person of fight/ scare off the predator or the run/flee from the problem This is from “Fears and Phobias”by kidshealth org, paragraph 20 Phobias on the other hand, are caused by the amygdala. This keeps track of memories of scary experiences in our life For example,If you got stung by a bee at a young age,the amygdala might keep track of that memorie and that will cause a phobia of bees
How do you control fears & phobias?
Now that the differences are over,we can start on how to get over your fears and phobias Fears can be controlled differently Fears usually happen when you see something scary at day or night. When it happens at night, kids might ask for a night light or just turn on the light and see that there is nothing wrong.Fears are usually taken care of in about a day or about a week. People could learn how to swim safely if someone has a fear of water. Or they could just stay away from their fears. Phobias are different. Because phobias are much more intense and bigger than fears, they can take months to get rid of. If someone has a phobia of heights, they can go to therapy and the therapist might take you to different places to control your phobias. If you have a phobia of
animals, you might have to go to zoo’s to control it Or you can just relax and listen to calm music from therapy In paragraph 155 of “Fears and Phobias”by kidshealth.org it states, “ A therapist might also teach relaxation practices such as specific ways of breathing, muscle relaxation training, or soothing self-talk.”
Fears and phobias are really different on many things and have different ways on how to control them. And now, that’s the ending of how fears and phobias are different and have different ways on how to control them. Tabby is a 6th grader at LMS. Type your bio here - what made you choose this topic? Coping with Fears & Phobias
By: Heaven Lee Introduction
Have you ever thought about the difference between what you think is a life threatening situation and what actually is a life threatening situation? It can be hard to tell the differenceespecially when you’re young This is part of the “Flight or Fight” system that your brain has. Knowing the difference can help you respond and/or cope with fears and phobias respondsibly. It can even help you with simple daily activities like crossing the road if you have to or trying something new or scary.
Respond v.s Cope
Responding and coping are different things This is because you tend to use one’s strategies longer than the other. To do this, you must know the difference between a fear and a phobia, which are also both similar and different based on time and impact
What is Fear?
Fear is one of the most basic and commonly used human emotions. This leads to its impact on how our brain tries to protect us from danger and possible threats. “It is programmed into the nervous system and works like an instinct.” The text “Fears and Phobias” also says that “Feeling afraid is very natural and helpful in some situations. Fear can be like a warning, a signal that cautions us to be careful This links it to being helpful and protective However, if not handled responsibly fear is not helpful to others or to you Fear is an emotion and “Like all emotions, fear can be mild, medium, or intense, depending on the situation and the person A feeling of fear can be brief or it can last longer” Fear is a feeling we get when we sense danger, making us anxious or wanting to escape from the situation
What is a Phobia?
A phobia is an extreme and irrational fear of a specific object, situation, or activity that goes beyond typical anxiety Unlike general fears, phobias can trigger overwhelming panic and avoidance behaviors, often leading individuals to go to great lengths to escape or prevent encounters with what they fear “Fears and Phobias”, by
kidshealth.org, says that phobias make people “avoid the things or situations they fear because the physical sensations of fear can be so intense.” The text also states that “having a phobia can interfere with normal activities.” This supports the statement that phobias can significantly impact daily life, relationships, and overall well-being, making it important for those affected to seek help and support. People with phobias are often aware that their fear is excessive, but this realization doesn’t lessen their anxiety. People with phobias often seek help by getting a therapist or just by simply having someone to share how they feel about their fears with
Conclusion
Fears and phobias are different and similar in different ways From these statements, you can come to the conclusion that fears and phobias have some differences and similarities based on how long they last and how they impact life

Fears and Phobias.
By: Lola Coleman
Fear ≠ Weakness
Fear is pretty interesting. It can seem irrational or even silly, but it saves lives For example, having a fear of the dark may seem irrational, but maybe it doesn't seem that way when you avoid tripping in the dark because your fear makes you alert Fear makes you more vigilant to avoid injuries or even death Fear may seem weak, but it makes you stronger than you would be without it Although fears are useful, sometimes they can get in the way of daily life This causes people to want to get rid of their fears In the text “Fears and Phobias”, the author tells us about fear and how people try to deal with them or get rid of them There are many ways people can react to their fears and want to get rid of them
Ahh! Or Oooh!

Everybody experiences fear at some point in their lives, but different people react differently to fear For instance, if someone has a fear of dogs, they may avoid dogs completely or avoid going anywhere a dog may be If someone is afraid of storms, they may avoid going outside when there is a storm coming or when it’s rainy People’s reactions to fear is all about avoidance, as stated in the section “Fears People Have” of the article stated above, “People tend to avoid the things or situations or things they fear.” This proves my point exactly Another reaction that people can have to fear is to try to get rid of their fear or try not to focus the fear. For example, if someone is afraid of water, they may attempt to get rid of their fear or get over it by getting familiar with water or trying to learn to be safe in water, like by learning to swim In my poem “Close My Eyes”, this is also demonstrated when I write, “And I, smothered in covers, wish to end tonight's bitter strife ” The poem shows me, staying in my room and trying to sleep, despite my fear of the dark and being alone. These things show how different people react to their fears whether it's avoidance or trying to solve them.
Getting Rid of Your Crippling Fear
Although some people have intense fears, they don’t have to live with their fear all their lives. They can try to overcome them, and they can do this in many different ways One of the ways they can get rid of their fears is by speaking to a therapist. The section “Overcoming Phobias” in the text “Fears and Phobias” says, “Sometimes people need the help of a therapist to guide them through the process ” The process the text is talking about is getting over your fears. This section of the text proves that therapists can help people overcome their fears Although therapists can help people get over their fears, therapy will only work if they are open and willing to get rid of their fears That is why another way to overcome fear is by being open to and being willing to overcome them. By being open, they can get over their fears quicker than if they werent They also can expose themselves to the fear little by little to get over it These two things go hand in hand because without being open and willing, you cannot get rid of fear by exposing yourself The section “Overcoming Phobias” from the passage stated above proves my point by saying that gradually overcoming fears is something that people can do to overcome phobias and fear. It also says that it is not easy and takes willingness and bravery These things all go with the things I said earlier and prove my point exactly. People can overcome fears in many different ways, but the most important thing is that they are willing to get rid of their fears
Conclusion

Fear is important for humans. It keeps us safe, but it can get in the way of daily activities Therefore, people react to it and want it to not be present in our lives anymore. People can do this differently. There are many ways people can get rid of fear and react to their fears

Lola is a 6th grader at LMS I enjoy learning about fears and phobias because it is cool to see how many there are and how it a ects people although being essential for human life.

WhatareFearsandPhobias?

Imagine yourself taking a walk in your neighborhood. All of a sudden you see your biggest fear, a dog!! You remember that you have a phobia of dogs (cynophobia) due to a traumatic incident, but have you ever wondered, “what are fears and phobias?”
DifferencesBetweenFearsandPhobias
Fears and phobias can be different in many ways. Fear is a basic human emotion and one is able to get over it alone, while phobias are an intense fear reaction to a particular thing/situation In the poem, “It’s Not The End of The World,” the refrain says, “Breathe please it's not the end of the world ” This shows that if you are patient, your fears could slowly dissolve unlike phobias Another difference is how to overcome fears and phobias In the article, “Fears and Phobias,” it states, “ making a long list of the person's phobia in least-to-worst order the person tries each fear situation on the list works on each fear until he or she feels comfortable ” This shows that it takes much more to overcome phobias than fears Therefore, there are many differences between fears and phobias
SimilaritiesBetweenFearsandPhobias
Although fears and phobias have differences, they can be similar as well For example, phobias can happen similarly to a fear In the article, “Fears and Phobias,” it states, “Some phobias develop when someone has a scary experience with a particular thing or situation ” This shows that a phobia can be caused in a similar way to fear Another similarity is how they connect “A guy with social phobia experiences intense fear of public speaking or interacting, and may be afraid to answer questions in class, give a report, or speak to classmates in the lunchroom ” This shows that people that have a phobia react with fear Therefore, even when fears and phobias have many differences, they have some similarities as well
PhobiasareFearsTriggeredbyaSpecific MomentinLife
Phobias are irrational fears that are triggered by a specific event, while fears are our emotional reaction to something that seems dangerous Fears and phobias might be different, but they do connect
It’s normal to have fears or phobias, so you shouldn't feel bad or left out about it Everyone has a fear or phobias that is different, so there shouldn’t be any teasing for having a fear/phobia

A fear poem by Niitsuh
Allergic reactions aren’t that bad
But to be sure, I’ll need my dad
Oh no, oh no, a big red rash
I think I’m gonna need to dash
Breathe please, it's not the end of the world
Whispers down the halls
Whispers in the walls
They won't leave me be
They’re all talking about me
Breathe please, it’s not the end of the world
Death here and there
Death everywhere
I can’t leave
Cuz death is all around me
Breathe please, it’s not the end of the world
Bees, wasps, they scare me the most
Even more than giant ghosts. With their stingers sharper than needles
They’re scarier than beetles
Breathe please, it's not the end of the world

Alone you might think?
Did you know that everyone has something that they find frightening? People can have such common fears that other people they are close to don’t even know! People might try to hide their fear because of how embarrassing it can be. People can react to fears and use different strategies to overtake their fear.
The “correct” response
People respond to fear in many different ways depending on how scared/stressed the person is with their fear and how people react with their brain’s thoughts. “Fears and Phobias” by kidshealrh org stated, “Sometimes fear is triggered by something that is startling or unexpected, even if it’s not actually dangerous That’s because the fear reaction is activated instantly a few seconds faster than the thinking part of the brain can process or evaluate what’s happening ” This is because of the nervous system being programmed to react to things like this to possibly save your life “Fight or flight” by Tamara Washington stated, “Before you even begin to consciously consider what you might do, though, your brain shifts itself into high gear It immediately begins triggering a series of chemical and physiological reactions in your body that will help you deal with this ominous threat.” This explains how the system works to help react in life saving situations. This shows how people respond to fears in their nervous system so in life and death situations they will respond correctly to survive.
Find a way to work through it

People use different strategies that they think or know will work in life and death situations with fear “Fears and phobias” by kidshealrh org Stated, “ Someone who isn’t a strong swimmer might have a fear of deep water Someone could overcome this fear by learning how to swim safely” Beating this fear might bring a lot more confidence to this person to someday might help them. “Fight or flight”, by Tamara Washington states, “ When you experience a frightening stimulus, such as an agitated cobra looming in your path, your brain immediately begins processing the information.” When your body does this you will start to react to what you think is a good move to avoid getting the situation worse.

Sum it up paragraph
This information shows how different people react to different fears and the strategies used to overcome their fear. People respond to fears depending on how serious they react to it and use different strategies to overcome their fear so they don’t have to have it forever. People can react to fears from not that serious to really needing assistance

Introduction
Have you ever wondered why when two people have a common fear why might one person be feeling scared and the other feeling like their having a heart attack? Both of these reactions are very different but also can be very similar such as a fear or phobia of heights or a fear or phobia of spiders in this essay we be looking at the article “Fears and Phobias” and we will be talking and comparing and contrasting the similarities and differences between fears and phobias.
How are fears and phobias similar
Fears and phobias are actually very similar in many ways more than you think when it comes to human fears and phobias it is something many people have and something almost everyone experiences Fears and phobias have many similarities such as they both can be triggered when the brain senses the human is in danger or feels unsafe In the article “Fears and Phobias” it states “When we sense danger, the brain reacts instantly, sending signal that active the nervous system” This piece of evidence acknowledges that when we are scared or in danger our brain steps in and starts to send signals to our nervous system and processes the fight or flight protocol Another piece of evidence from the article “Fears and Phobias” is “ The amygdala warns the person by triggering a fear reaction ever time he or she encounters that thing or situation” This piece of evidence demonstrates how with a phobia when they encounter what they are scared of the brain called the amygdala sends a fear reaction causing the person to panic. To conclude fears and phobias can share many similarities and how they both have similar brain functions.
How are fears and phobias different
Fears and phobias have many things in common but they are also very different in feelings thoughts and reactions in many ways.Fears and phobias are very different and it is important to know the difference. You can experience different feelings emotions and reactions weather you have a fear or a phobia. In the article “Fears and Phobias”
the article acknowledges “physical response such as a faster heartbeat, rapid breathing, and an increase in blood pressure”.This piece of evidence clearly shows how if a human has a fear their physical response is activated by the nervous system and how it creates these physical responses.Another piece of evidence from the article “Fears and Phobias” that shows the difference between a fear and a phobia is “Phobias cause people to worry about, dread, feel upset by,and avoid the things or situations they fear can be so intense”.This piece of evidence shows that a phobia is so much more intense than a fearPhobias cause and restrict humans from even seeing the the things they have a phobia to Such as if you had a phobia of spiders which is called “arachnophobia” this phobia would restrict you from going outside or seeing cobwebs or if it is halloween then seeing a big spider can cause you to have serious panic attack In conclusion fears and phobias can be different in many ways and fears are temporary and not as serious as phobias and both can have different reactions
Conclusion
To conclude in this essay we covered how fears and phobias can be very similar but they can also be very different in many ways In this essay we went over the differences between fears and phobias and how they have different reaction and how they have many similarities such as the brain processes if they are in danger or if the human is scared This topic is important so that people do not mix up fears and phobias and to let people know that they are similar but they are also different

INTRODUCTION

Picture this It’s a nice, hot summer day, and you’re at the pool with your friends A yellow jacket flies by you You step away from the bee, feeling uncomfortable Meanwhile, your best friend, who is standing right next to you, is freaking out They’re swatting their hands all over, running away, and screaming at the top of their lungs Based on this scenario, you have a fear of bees, and your friend has a phobia In the article, “Fears and Phobias”, the author from kidshealth org explains the similarities and differences between fears and phobias and how they impact us positively or negatively
WHAT IS FEAR?
Fear is a discomfort or mild aggravation to a certain thing, whether it be people, animals, objects, etc On Pg 32 of, “Fears and Phobias”, the author writes, “Fear can be like a warning A signal that cautions us to be careful ” Fear is a response to stress and danger in a situation, and it can help us be alert Fear is a minor neurological reaction in the brain when face to face with something that appears like it could hurt us On Pg 32 of, “Fears and Phobias”, it reads, “When we sense danger, the brain reacts instantly, sending signals that activate the nervous system ” This means that the brain makes us alert to danger when we are facing fear, compared to reacting to a phobia where the brain overloads with signals being sent to the body.
WHAT IS A PHOBIA?
Phobias, however, are severe fears of certain situations. Someone who has a Phobia is deathly afraid of their phobia. In, “Fears and Phobias,” on Pg 35, the author explains, “With a Phobia, fear is out of proportion to the potential danger” Phobias are such strong reactions to fears, people have been reported to pass out due to the reaction. People will actually avoid going to school or work if they believe they will encounter their phobia On Pg 35 of “Fears and Phobias”, the author writes, “A girl with a phobia of thunderstorms might be afraid to go to school if the weatherforecast predicts a storm.”
WHAT’S SIMILAR AND DIFFERENT?
Fears and Phobias are similar in many ways, but they are also very different! For one, they are similar because they both have neurological reactions to fear. On Pg. 36 of, “Fears and Phobias”, the author from kidshealth org writes, “It’s a response the brain has learned in an attempt to protect the person.” They keep us away from things that can harm us and cause havoc However, Phobias, as we mentioned before, are extreme fears in certain situations that can cause panic While fears often come from discomfort, Phobias often come from a traumatic experience involving the situation On Pg 36 of “Fears and Phobias”, the author writes, “Someone might develop a bee phobia after being stung during a particularly scary situation ” Let’s go back to the scenario from the introduction Your friend might have had a traumatic experience involving a bee sting, and that’s why they’re so afraid of the yellow jacket! A fear can be easily fixed by adapting to it and learning to conquer it, but getting over a phobia could require outside help to fully fix In conclusion, Phobias and Fears both are reactions to danger, but phobias are way more serious
CONCLUSION
So, as you can see, Fears & Phobias share many traits, and are unalike in some traits as well They keep us from things that could hurt us, and can even save our lives Can you think of a time where you had a fear of something, or maybe even a phobia?

Fears and Phobias
By: Stella Beran
Have you ever noticed a person’s phobia? Well, you probably have because when someone has a phobia they can show significant behaviors. On the other hand, if someone has a fear you might not be able to notice it right away! Secondly, if someone’s phobia is present they could start shaking, getting goosebumps, and even throw up! As with fears, yes they would get anxious ,but not as nearly as much as phobias! For instance, when an individual has a fear of water they most likely would still drink it but probably not swim in it

Though, with a phobia of water, (hydrophobia) they could start shaking just looking at a glass of water! Furthermore, people respond to these fears by turning on a “Fight or Flight” response in their brain Fears and phobias have many similarities with key differences in between Phobias tend to be much more intense than fears and are tremendously harder to cope with
Responding to Fear
People respond to fear by turning on a “Fight or Flight” signal in their brain People respond to fear in many different, sometimes emotional ways It’s just a natural response that humans have to either fight something off or run away! For example, in the text “Fears and Phobias”, in paragraph 2, “How Fear Works”, by kidshealth.org, it explains, “Blood pumps to muscle groups to prepare the body for physical action (such as running or fighting).” This proves, your body responds to fear by actually preparing your body to run away or fight! Also, while internal changes are taking action, your physical body has a similarly large response to fear. For instance, in the informational article, “Fight or Flight?” by Tamara Washington she writes, “Your heart begins to pound, your breathing becomes rapid, your muscles get tense, the pupils of your eyes dilate, and you may sweat or get goose bumps.” This explains, your body has physical responses to fear as well. This clearly shows how people respond to fear. Sometimes, in a physical or internal process.

Fears vs. Phobias
Phobias are similar to fears, but they can be much harder to deal with and extremely intense. Furthermore, phobias can be exceptionally tough to face and almost impossible to overcome While, you can much easily face your fears! Yes, you might get a little sweaty or scared , but being a little anxious is nothing compared to a phobia! To demonstrate, in the article, “Fears and Phobias” by kidshealth.org, the author writes, “Phobias cause people to worry about, dread, feel upset by, and avoid the things or situations they fear because of the physical sensations or fear can be so intense.” This verifies, phobias are so tough on people that it can cause them to even avoid whole situations because of just how intense a phobia can be In contrast, fears are also tough to face but not nearly as hard to overcome as a phobia is. For
example, with a phobia of water you might start shaking and getting nervous just looking at it! On the other hand, if you just had a fear of water you might feel nervous or anxious but it’s not like you’ll throw up! To prove this, in the online article, “Fears and Phobias” by kidshealth org the author states, “People can overcome unnecessary fears by giving themselves the chance to learn about and gradually get used to the thing or situation they’re afraid of.” This clearly shows, yes fears are tough but you will eventually be able to overcome them This verifies, fears and phobias are very similar but also have many key differences.
Acknowledging Fears and Phobias
Clearly, fears and phobias have many key differences between them In contrast, they both have many similarities People respond to these fears and phobias by turning on a “Fight or Flight” response in their brain Additionally, these phobias and fears can be exceedingly tough on a person ; they also can cause people to avoid certain situations as a whole! As for how people respond to fear, before you even are aware that you are afraid, your body sends signals to your brain to either fight or flight! To conclude, fears and phobias have many differences but they both are exceptionally tough on a person’s spirit and cause people to respond as if they were in a “life or death” situation

Will That Happen?
A Poem About Fears by Stella Beran
People making rumors, and Planes going “Boomers!”
Shadows in the dark
Moving like a shark
Will That Happen?
People lurking in the window
While i’m watching my show
My pet dying when i’m not home
What if they think I let it roam?
Will That Happen?
Creatures running round with
A big lawn an fire ant mound
Heights soaring high, So high in the sky
Will That Happen?
Car crashes now and My grades dropping low
People being loud and My parents not proud! Will That Happen?

Informational Essay
By Daniel Calderon
Ever wonder why some people react more strongly to fear, well that's because they have a phobia, a phobia is like a fear, but people react to it more intensely, you will find out in this magazine, how people react to fears and phobias, how they react to fears, and why phobias are more intense.
People respond to fear, by their brain activating us. Fear makes our body active by making us ready to run, or fight. This is supported by “Fears and Phobias,” by kidshealth.org, when it says, “When we sense danger, the brain reacts, sending signals that activate the nervous system.” It also supports what I said when it says, “Blood pumps to muscle groups to prepare for physical action (such as running or fighting.)” This supports what was said in the first sentence, that fear can cause a difference in your movement.
People respond to phobias similarly to fears, but different because it is much more intense, and can be caused by just thinking or hearing about it, or being near somewhere where it could happen,, the text, “Fears and Phobias”, by kidshealth.org supports this when it says, “ For that person, looking at a photograph of a bee, seeing a bee from a distance, or even walking near flowers where there could be a bee can all trigger the phobia.” This also supports what I said, “Once a certain thing or situation triggers a strong fear reaction, the amygdala warns the person by triggering a fear reaction every time he or she encounters (or even thinks about) that thing or situation.” These pieces of evidence support what was said in the first sentence, That phobias are much more intense then fears.
Phobias are more intense than fears, because the brain can remember scary experiences, causing the brain to react more intensely because it still remembers it, the amygdala is the one in the brain that remembers this, what I said is supported by the article, “Fears and Phobias,” by kidshealth.org, when it says, “Some phobias develop when someone has a scary experience with a particular thing or situation” also when it says, “Once a certain thing or situation triggers a strong fear reaction, the amygdala warns the person by triggering a fear reaction every time he or she encounters (or even thinks about) that thing or situation.” supporting that the amygdala causes phobias, that means that this is why phobias are more intense than fears.
People with phobias react to fear strongly, and this magazine has all the evidence required to back that up. Therefore, phobias are more intense than fears.

Spiders! Do you jump when you hear that? Or maybe you pull off your shoe in preparation? What do you do after that? Do you take deep breaths for you, maybe you talk to someone? If you do this you probably have a fear or phobia like the other 100% of people on earth. A lot of people are afraid of the dark, another really common phobia is called xenophobia meaning that they are really shy. These are just some common fears and phobias. Many studies show the reactions and strategies that people have when facing their fear. These things can be seen in the paragraphs ahead.
Reactions to Fears and Phobia
There are so many ways that you might react to your fear Maybe you run or you scream, but there are so many reactions that people could have One very common fear that people have is the fear of strangers. While I was looking at a fear versus phobia chart, I found that this reaction to fear of strangers is very mild The most common reaction that happens is that the person just doesn’t like meeting new people and is shy. There are many fears that have mild effects like this, such as fear of water, where you can be at the beach or the pool, you just don’t like to get in if you don’t have to Phobias on the other hand can have some pretty big reactions. For some athletes their reactions to their phobia of being under pressure can be very serious In the passage “Choking Under Pressure” you see that their phobia can be devastating to their reputation when diver Laura Wilkinson says that she was quote, “afraid of embarrassing myself I just choked” this shows that the phobia you might have could rip things from you
Coping With Fears and Phobias
When people experience their fears of phobias, they all have ways of coping with it, but these ways are different for fears or phobias The ways people cope with a fear can be pretty mild as seen in the poem “I hate Spiders” by Laila landers, it talks about how when she sees a spider she just gets a shoe and calls for her dad. This is just a simple reaction that happens when someone gets scared. Another way someone could react is seen in the poem “They are not afraid” by Remy Williams when she says that she just takes deep breaths, drys her tears and walks on stage. Phobias on the other hand can be harder to handle and get over. People might need something like counseling or therapy to get over a phobia because they have more of a scar and more trauma from their experience with
their phobia When they have an experience like this they have to think about and find ways to cope like just trying to stay away from whatever triggers them.
Conclusion
In conclusion there are so many things that come with a fear or phobia that you might have, but the most important thing to know is that there are lots of ways to get over and understand your fear and /or phobia picture Bailee is a 6th grader at Lanier Middle She chose this topic because

Another similarity of fears and phobias is when we let our fears and phobias win we get to miss opportunities. Introduction
Have you ever wondered why you have only been a little afraid of something that can end in disaster but feel distress when you see something that is harmless? Well, these two things are both related to each other but aren't the same. They are called fears and phobias. Fears and phobias are similar and different in many ways, and knowing those may stop you from mixing them up!
How are fears and phobias different?
Fears and Phobias are very different even though they are both related to being afraid. One difference is the intensity. Fears can be mild, moderate, or intense. In contrast, phobias always cause distress to those who have them. For example, in the article "Fears and Phobias" by kidshealth org, the author states that "With a phobia, the fear is out of proportion to the potential danger But to the person with the phobia, the danger feels real because the fear is so very strong", this shows how intense the fear is within a phobia this means that a phobia is too much fear Another way that fears and phobias are different is because fears aren't as hard to conquer as phobias are For example, in "Fears and Phobias" by kidshealth org, the author illustrates that, "Gradually (and safely) facing fear helps someone overcome it " and "people can learn to overcome phobias by gradually facing their fears This is not easy at first It takes willingness and bravery Sometimes people need the help of a therapist to guide them through the process "
How are fears and phobias similar?
There are different ways they are similar as well. Such as how both can be developed at different times in life. For instance, in the passage "Fears and Phobias", kidshealth.org explains that, " Some phobias develop when someone has a scary experience with a particular thing or situation " and "Certain fears are normal during childhood That's because fear can be a natural reaction to feeling unsure and vulnerable and much of what children experience is new and unfamiliar" This evidence shows us how they are developed like during a scary situation which can happen any time! Another thing they have in
common is that they both can be conquered. For example, in "Fears and Phobias" the kidshealth.org states that "Facing fears help someone overcome it" and " Once a person decides to go for it and gets the right coaching and support it can be surprising how quickly fear can melt away". This means that you can face your fears and phobias and they will be overcome, and the same thing works for everyone else!
Conclusion
To conclude, fears and phobias are similar and different in a lot of different ways. Fears may have different levels while phobias are all just intense yet they both can be removed with time. Some people may mix them up or call them the same but readers will find this helpful because this eliminates confusion between fears and phobias.

Fears and Phobias, What's their difference?
Fears and Phobias are often remarked as the same thing, but are they? Against popular belief, they are not But how can we tell them apart? How can we identify them accurately? Well let's look at the facts and dive into the information
Why do People mix them up?
People often misinterpret fears and phobias as the same, but why? Well,

commonalities are effortlessly seen in the two So it seems obvious why people would mix them up Let's enhance the understanding of the similarities of their characteristics before we differ them. Both fears and phobias include some part of the brain that connects to the fight or flight reaction. The fight reaction decides if we should fight back or run away. Also, in “Fears and phobias” it mentions that for every fear, there should be a counterpart phobia. Whether it's the fear of the dark to Nyctophobia Or the fear of spiders and Arachnophobia There is always a pair Also they are both curable, with some cures involving some form of psychological therapy, depending on how severe either one is This allows readers to understand why people often mix them up
can be easily cured. On the other hand, Atychiphobia, the phobia of failure, might sound just as bad, but it's way worse. She could have a panic attack, a heart attack, or even both. Fear is when the brain links something to another instance that could happen. While a phobia is often related to a traumatic experience that psychologically altered the brain into never wanting anything remotely close to the experience ever again, it did happen. While the terms have their dis similitudes, they also have their similarities.
So how can we summarize it?

How do we tell them apart?
Fear and phobias, they have their differences, so let's expand on how you tell them apart, and the contradistinction in their severities
To commence, in “Face your Fears,” the first character introduced, Laura Wilkinson, worries about losing a diving competition. This is fear, this
To summarize, against what most people believe, fears and phobias are different, and while they are very similar, they are very different, and therefore are different terms
