Gone are the days when coming up through the ranks Barrie was experiencing the wet wintry days stuck in a trench hand-digging foundations, with the water running down his back, & days upon days of jack-hammering concrete slabs, hoping that the ganger man would notice what a good job he was doing. Barrie potential was noticed, & it was not to long before he was the ganger man, then after years of learning the business from the ground up, Barrie was promoted again to contracts manager.

Barrie Rossiter who joined the company in 2006 as a site labourer, has just become the new MD of Lenmark Construction Ltd.

Barrie couldn’t have dreamt those 17 years ago when he started on a site at Haywards Heath that one day he would be running the show, but through his energy, drive, & ambition he has done just that.

Long Service Awards

It was a real pleasure for Barrie Rossiter, our Construction Director to present a long service watch to Joe” The Tipperary lion” O’Dwyer. Joe who joined the company back in early 1992, has completed many successful sites for the company as a Site Foreman, his hard work, loyalty, and diligence are the cornerstones of great employees and Joe has these assets in abundance. Also completing 30 years’ service with the company this last year are Richard Webster, Patsy Scullion, Micky Crowe, & Zoe Nugent, this shows the great strength in depth that we have here at Lenmark with many other great people working within the business for the last 10, 15, or 20 years, our staff turnover is very low, we believe because everyone feels valued & respected, we also create opportunities for career advancement within the business & a attitude of open communication which everyone appreciates.

Over hundreds of sites across London & the southeast, Barrie has gained the experience & the man management skills he is known for & has built up many teams into a loyal & dedicated workforce that we have in Lenmark today, a very firm believer in training, he encourages & inspires all the guys around him to push themselves, just as he did.

We now all look forward to Barrie leading us to the next level.
