Editor's Note My name is Siyabulela Lengisi and I started the business called Mr Loafty Entertainment to tell stories of South African Designers and Models through Fashion shows.

On this magazine we want to keep you informed about the fashion industry and inspire you to love fashion and modeling more than ever because this is a billion dollar industry.

In the 2 years we have been doing what we love it turns out people have different views about the clothing and textile industry.

We run a models academy where we guide and facilitate the progress of the aspiring models who aspire to be on the lime light.

On this fourth issue of Mr Loafty entertainment we are talking about aspiring models, the perceptions we (consumers) have about the textile and clothing industry, latest trends and important terms used on the fashion industry.

My name is Thelma Sihlwele I lives in Langa, grew up In Centane. I am currently a dealer at Grand West Casino and now I'm doing modeling part time.

"I MUST NEVER UNDER ESTIMATE MYSELF" 2. When did you start modeling?

I started modeling in 2014 and my role model is myself because I see myself growing, gaining a lot experience and learning more about everything I come across with...

3. What was your biggest challenge starting out?

Experience & Confidence I had to gain a lot of experience, I had to gain confidence in myself, to believe in me, to learn that we all beautiful in different ways, we don't see things the same way therefore I should trust myself and the fact that I must never underestimate myself.

"Firstly know who you are, what type of model you want to be so that you won't be trying everything that includes modeling.

Know which modeling field you want to go with have knowledge about modeling at least that would help."

4. How did the pandemic affect your journey?

It has affected my journey in so many ways that so many ways, I was unable to travel, there were no more photoshoots, no fashion shows and everything got shut down.

It was bad for sure.

5. Advice to other models?

So my simple advice to all the models, build your confidence in any way you see you can. Attending modeling classes doing rehearsals; take part in paying shoots and fashion shows.
