Karingal went into their match against Tyabb missingsixplayersfromtheirAGradeside,butawin wasstillvitaltokeepthemselvesinasecondchance finals position. Tyabb were ready to put in a gutsy performanceinthisThursdaynightbattle.

The hosts set themselves the task of controlling the ball, but the first quarter they acknowledged their unusualnumberofturnoverswhichiswellbelowtheir standardexecution.Stillabletobeupby3goals,the Bulletteswerebetterinthesecondastheymanaged to play a lot more freely and introduced more rotations to take a 6-goal lead at the major break. Defensively, the Yabbies dominated in this area but struggled to keep level on the scoreboard against Karingalastheyhadmorecontrolinthesecondhalf.
The Bullettes finished strong and restricted their oppositions goaling opportunities. The final gap was 17 goals to Karingal. Tayla Sutton, Kiah Steele, Madi Becker and Taylah Paxton all came up from B Grade and showing that they can hold their own at the A Gradelevel.
Tyabb could upset the chances of Pearcedale making the finals in their Round 18 match, and KaringalwillverseCribPoint.

NottheseasonEdi-Aspthoughttheywouldbefaced with, but they have every opportunity to finish their season in Division Two with a couple more wins to their name. Where Hastings are in desperate search fortheirsecondwin.
AstheEagleshosttheirlastgameoftheseason,they had a positive start to the match and lead the Blues by6goalsafterthefirst15minutes.Butitdidn’tstop there! Alanna Wood was back for the hosts and had an excellent performance in defence teaming with LennaBruun.
Theleadextendedoutto13goalsatthemainbreak. Hastings made multiple changes throughout the full 60 minutes of play searching for some control and consistency in their hands. But Chris Vickery and Lauren Bond had other plans and were a strong presence in the midcourt for the Eagles and heavily assistedintheirsidetofinishwitha31-goalwin.
Round 18 will finish with Edi-Asp against Mornington, and Hastings will have a challenging match against Chelsea.

Unaware how competitive Mornington have been in severalmatches,Chelseawasstilllookingtobeinfull commandofthisRound17match.
The first half was completely controlled by the Seagulls as they did not take their foot of the pedal. The young Mornington team could not find the answers as they struggled in all areas of the court, allowing Olivia Wilkinson to convert goal after goal for the hosts. With a 19-goal lead to Chelsea as the teams entered the second half, the Doggies found some structure in match play allowing to be competitivewithoneofthisdivision’sbestteams.The scoreboard was closer in the second half and a pleasing sign for the visitors, but the Seagulls added their13thwinfortheseasonby25.
Chelsea takes on Hastings in the final home and awaymatch,andMorningtonmaybeabletosnatch theirthirdwinagainstEdi-Asp.
