Bonbeach had a dream start against the ladder leaders, taking full advantage of the match while catching their opponents on the back foot. Ellarnah Hanlen under post was instrumental for her side to claim a 7-goal lead at the first break. The Stonecats were quick to respond in the second, playing their dominateandconvincingbrandofnetballwitnessed most of the season. As half time approached, the hosts took the lead by 6 goals. The Sharks didn’t allow for this lead to extend much further, as they continued to play another half of highly competitive netball against the benchmark of the league. Grace Hayen in C and Bree Lane in defence were standout performers for their team, and well supported by other players on court in the Sharks full team effort. Although Bonbeach won the last quarter, they could notreigninthefullleadYCWhadandlostby8goals. This was easily the Sharks best performance to date scoring59goals.
