Public Consultation INTRODUCTION This exhibition is being held to explain the proposal by Vastint for a new Marriott Moxy Hotel situated off Newfoundland Way within the administrative boundary of Bristol City Council. Vastint is a an international real estate organisation with 25 years of experience and is the holding company within the Inter IKEA Property Division. It has been part of the Inter IKEA Group of companies since 1989. The Moxy Hotel is a new and vibrant brand operated by Marriott. Moxy is Marriott’s newest brand focused on the rapidly growing 3-startier segment of the hotel business. Moxy’s focus is on the millennial traveler, who understands that style can be delivered at attractive prices. Moxy has the full power of Marriott behind it and the potency of style, and innovation and tech savviness that travellers demand. From unexpectedly spacious rooms to a vibrant lobby and a 24-hour café/bar, Moxy offers an experience that is bold, confident and hip.

First introduced in Europe at Malpensa Milan airport in 2013, the Moxy brand launched in the United States in January 2015, eight identified projects for major metropolitan locations, including New York City, San Francisco, Seattle, New Orleans and Chicago. More hotels are set to open across Europe in Germany (Munich, Frankfurt and Berlin); Denmark (Copenhagen); and the United Kingdom (London) over the next two years. Plans are also being prepared to be submitted for a new Moxy Hotel at Edinburgh Airport.

WHY HAVE AN EXHIBITION? As part of the planning process, it is necessary to complete a consultation excercise to request feedback from the community. This forms part of the planning application which will be submitted for full planning permission in Autumn 2015.
