EMT & CPR

Tuesday 11/4

This course will teach you Basic Life Support through the American Heart Association. Students will learn how to recognize and respond to an emergency, learn 1 and 2 person CPR for the adult, child and infant, along with the use of an AED and how to respond to someone who is choking. This class qualifies for GI Bill® benefits. CULINARY ARTS

Thursday 9/18 5–7pm

Learn how to create a chicken dinner within a manageable time frame, regardless of cooking experience. Prepare broccoli, rice and a sauce to go with your meal. For both beginners or experienced cooks. All ingredients included. (No Waivers)

Wednesday and Thursday 10/8 & 10/9 5–7pm

In this two-day, back-to-back class, students will learn the art of making bread from scratch. Come prepared to learn as you master the techniques of crafting classic bread loaves using traditional bread-baking methods. All ingredients included. (No Waivers)

Tuesdays 10/28 & 11/4 5–7pm

Learn to make a classic pumpkin or apple pie in this hands-on class. You'll leave with a finished pie, recipes for both, and the skills to impress at any holiday table. All ingredients included. (No Waivers)

Tuesdays 12/2 & 12/9 5–7pm

Bake a variety of festive cookies—like chocolate chip, gingersnaps, crinkles, and shortbread—in this fun, hands-on class. Learn mixing, cutting, and decorating techniques, and take home a dozen cookies. All ingredients included. (No Waivers)

PAINT YOUR PET

Wednesday 11/19 5–7pm Gardner

On a 16x20 canvas, you’ll be guided through painting a picture of your pet, created by the instructor. After registering, email a clear, well-lit photo to LLL@mwcc.mass.edu. No painting experience needed. All materials included. (No Waivers)

NAUTICAL WOODEN PICTURE FRAMES

Wednesday 11/5 5–7pm Gardner 98142

Create your own unique 8x10 Nautical Wooden Picture Frame using a 3/4" torched board, seashells, sand, colored glass, and more. Email your photo to LLL@mwcc.mass.edu at least one week before class. Learn practical ways to engage people with dementia throughout their daily routine and disease progression. Topics include the Montessori method, activity types, benefits of engagement, and how to adapt activities. Explore practical ways to use AI for self-improvement, creativity, and productivity. This course covers meal planning, fitness, AI-generated music, photography, and digital art. Introduction to Microsoft Excel will show you how to create and edit basic worksheets and workbooks. You will gain the skills needed to create, edit, format, and print basic Excel worksheets.

Learn to work with large worksheets; using print titles, headers and footers, hyperlinks, conditional formatting, formatting tables, sorting and filtering, removing duplicates, using and managing named ranges, creating and using formulas and functions, converting text to columns, concatenating data, using csv files, and creating simple charts. ADVANCED

Tuesday & Thursday 10/14 & 10/16 6–8pm

This advanced course covers working with multiple workbooks and data analysis. Topics include data consolidation, subtotals, outlines, 3-D formulas, linking workbooks, VLOOKUP, pivot tables and charts, using comments, and protecting and sharing workbooks.

SERVSAFE

9/9 - 9/30 6–8:30pm

This course will provide you with knowledge of food/hygiene responsibilities in the food service industry to prep for the nationally accredited certification, valid for 5 years. Textbook included in the course fee. Students are responsible for picking up books at least one week ahead of time. Last day of class will be the exam. This class qualifies for GI Bill® benefits. (No Waivers)

Boost your soil biology with living inoculants you can make and observe yourself. The Adult Education Program is located at the Leominster Campus. Our program provides no cost courses that are funded through DESE's Adult and Community Learning Services Grant. We offer a variety of course options (in-person, hybrid, and online) during the day and evenings to meet the needs of busy adult learners.

HiSET / GED Preparation

This program provides no cost high school equivalency preparation courses for students preparing to take the GED or HiSET exams.

MASSLINKS ONLINE ACADEMY

FREE DESE-funded Massachusetts statewide adult education program. Students can choose from High School Equivalency (GED and HiSet) preparation classes or English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL/ESL) classes. Classes are offered fully online.
