Grades K–8: Bring your thinking cap as we explore science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics! Put your mind to the test while building water balloon catapults and bottle rockets. We’ll also make slime and create melted crayon masterpieces. Join our annual egg drop contest and see if your egg will survive a drop from the upper halls of MWCC!

Grades K–8: Be one with nature as we trek through the trails of MWCC to learn about the local wildlife and plant life. Become an explorer while learning how to read and decode maps. We’ll also be planting, creating nature sculptures, and making journals to keep track of all of our adventures. Thursday field trip: Wachusett mountain, where everyone will explore trails and learn about the local outdoors.

Grades K–8: Everyone’s most requested program returns! Get ready to dive into LEGO week! This week we’re going to stretch your imagination to new limits with LEGO competitions and building challenges. We will also have free build design contests throughout the week. Thursday field trip: LEGO Discovery Center Boston to explore what it takes to be a Master Model Builder.
Basketball with Brian Burpee
Ages 6–11: Looking for a way to keep your court skills sharp over the summer? Join us this week to strengthen and develop all of your basketball skills. Learn from Mr. Burpee through drills and scrimmages, all while practicing teamwork. Afternoons will be filled with various other games and activities.
Potter’s Wheel and Drawing
Ages 9–14: Spend your days learning the potter’s wheel and slab building to create a variety of cups, bowls, or vases. Advance your drawing skills while exploring charcoal, pastels, ink, or watercolors. All clay pieces will be fired at the end of the week and need to be picked up after the program ends. All materials included. Bring a smock or dress for a mess.
Grades K–8: This week is a celebration of everyone’s creativity! We will create characters and tell stories, build masterpieces out of scavenged materials, tie dye clothing, and paint kindness rocks to put around the MWCC campus. We will end the week with a showcase of everyone’s work during the Summer Adventures Art Show.

Ages 6–11: Join us for the ultimate summer experience. More Fun in The Sun includes all your favorite activities. This week is full of summer games, arts and crafts, karaoke, swimming and much more. Join us for a week filled with laughter, fun and adventure.

All are welcome, whether you are getting ready for your next season, or just interested in learning how to cheer. This week is sure to keep you active while having a great time.

Space, Time & Things That Rhyme

Grades K–8: A twist on a favorite! During this week we will be launching into space to learn about the mysteries of the universe with our NASA trained expert. But that’s not all! We will also take a step backwards in time to learn about dinosaurs, fossils, and creatures who used to roam the planet. While also having time to explore the world created by Dr. Seuss. Thursday field trip: Springfield Museums where we can explore the science museum, dinosaurs, and the world of Dr. Seuss!
Martial Arts with Nick Babin
Ages 5-13: Martial Arts are an excellent way for young people to build strength and flexibility, gain focus and confidence, and build valuable self-protection skills. Students will learn about different martial arts while guided through safe, fun and engaging skill-based solo and partner drills (defending and attacking, both standing and on the ground). Example: use punching bags and focus mitts, kick padded targets, block and deflect strikes (from pool noodles), practice combinations on punching bags, and practice ground attacks with a grappling dummy.
