1960 Herve Pelland recently returned from Denver, CO where he was honored and received the Region 1 Teacher of the Year award for Outstanding Contributions in Correctional Education. Region 1 is represented by PA, NY, NJ, the NE states and the Northern Province of Canada.

LTC (Retired) Michael Hurst received his second Bronze Star Medal for Operation Iraqi Freedom at his End of Tour Award ceremony at Camp Victory, Baghdad, Iraq in May 2008. During his tour of duty, Mike served as the Field Historian, Open Source Intelligence OIC, and Deputy Effects Coordinator for the Multinational Division-Center HQ from March 2007 - May 2008. 1979 Air Force Major Michael Tellier has retired from military service after 24 years. He was honored at a retirement ceremony May 28 at Offutt Air Base in Nebraska. During his service, he flew the E-4B, B-52G and B-1B. He served as senior operations duty officer with the 607th Combat Operations Squadron. He has served as instructor pilot, chief of pilot training, chief of standardization and evaluation, and chief of avionics upgrades. He also received the Meritorious 8
Service Medal with one oak leaf cluster, the Aerial Achievement Medal with six oak leaf clusters, and the Combat Readiness Medal with three oak leaf clusters. He has accepted civilian employment with Citation Shares in Orlando, FL.
1984 Edward Fitzpatrick is the new political columnist for The Providence Journal and projo.com. He has 20 years of experience as a reporter and editor at daily newspapers, including the past 8 years at The Journal. Edward graduated from Syracuse University in 1988 with a duel degree in political science and magazine journalism.

1991 Major David R. King, MD has been writing newspaper articles describing life as an Army medic in Iraq. A major in the US Army Reserve, deployed in Operation Iraqi Freedom, he is the chief of Trauma Surgery and Surgical Critical Care 86 Combat Support Hospital/848 Forward Surgical Team Airborne, Baghdad and the Attending Surgeon at Mass General Hospital, Harvard Medical School.
