Kathak Dance
This creative movement class is designed to get everyone grooving. We will be exploring the creative possibilities in the human body and using well-defined movement exercises to develop physical awareness, skills, and fitness. Explore how to bring healthy habits into the body, structurally (alignment) and emotionally. Don’t worry, no ballet barres in this class!
Kathak Dance, a form of Indian Classical Dance where in movement and action, both lyrical and rhythmic, express Indian culture and storytelling drawing upon India’s rich cultural past but also expressing the beauty and energy of Indian culture.This is a full year class.Please sign up for both semesters.

Movement exercises are fun, engaging and based on movement principles in Modern Dance. Students will develop a strong foundation for movement, and begin to develop a responsive and articulate body for creative exploration.
