CONNECTIONS SCHOLARS PROGRAM

The Connections Scholars Program is designed to serve enrolled Ivy Tech students as they connect their associate degree achievements with their continued path toward a bachelor’s degree at the Mount. The program offers tailored and seamless admission to the Mount to students who have completed 15 credit hours, earned a minimum GPA of 3.0 at Ivy Tech, and submitted a Connections Scholars application. Connections Scholars could be eligible for $24,500+ in transfer scholarships. Key features of the Connections Scholars Program are: • Automatic consideration for the $2,500 Connections Scholarship with an earned associate degree. • Dedicated advising with MSJ admission counselors is available at the Mount, via zoom, or on designated days at Ivy Tech. • A thorough evaluation of transfer credits and assistance with maximizing transfer credits to a bachelor’s degree program at the Mount. • An MSJ email account and access to our 24-hour computer lab. • Access to the Mount’s Archbishop Alter Library and MSJ fitness facilities. • Free admission to all MSJ sporting events. • Invitations to attend exclusive programs and events at the Mount. • Waived application fee. • Priority registration and class scheduling for the first semester at the Mount.

2022 CAREER OUTCOMES RATE 98.5% of 2022 MSJ graduates were successfully employed, enrolled in graduate studies, or volunteering within six months of graduation. The knowledge rate for this survey was 83.4%.

ADULT SCHOLARSHIP

Any new or current adult, non-traditional student at the Mount with a minimum 2.75 GPA is eligible to apply for this scholarship. Students are required to complete a FAFSA and submit an application. Recipients of this scholarship are not eligible for state or federal need-based grant funds. Students with a previous bachelor’s degree or students receiving more than 25 percent tuition reimbursement from their employer are not eligible.

PHI THETA KAPPA (PTK) SCHOLARSHIP

Full-time students with an associate degree from a regionally accredited institution, 3.25 cumulative college GPA, and PTK membership may be eligible for this scholarship. This scholarship is for students seeking a first-time bachelor’s degree.

MSJ RENAISSANCE AWARD

Students from any major who participate in Art Guild, Ensemble, Peak Productions, Theatre, University Band, University Singers, or Writer's Block.

MOORE-ECKEL SCHOLARSHIP

FINANCIAL AID

Applying for Financial Aid - Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) online at fafsa.gov, to find out if you qualify for need-based financial aid. Be sure to list Mount St. Joseph University and its six-digit code: 003033. New students must be accepted by the University before financial aid can be awarded. Tuition Deferment - Students eligible to receive employer tuition reimbursement may participate in Mount St. Joseph University’s Tuition Deferment Plan.

Prior Learning Assessment (PLA) What you’ve learned in life really counts at the Mount. That’s why we provide a full range of educational services to reward the lifelong learning of adult students. PLA credit can be awarded based on career experiences, community service, examination (CLEP), military service, structured educational programs, self-taught skills, and even travel. CENTENNIAL FIELD HOUSE This facility features free-spanning indoor athletic training space, spacious locker rooms, and the only NCAA regulation-size indoor track in the region. The Recreation & Fitness Center is open to all students— with the latest workout and exercise equipment, as well as a multi-purpose room for cross-training, yoga, and dance.
