Mount Congreve House, home to six generations of Congreves, was built in 1760 by the celebrated local architect John Roberts.
Inspired by Mr Lionel de Rothschilds exceptional garden at Exbury in Hampshire, with work beginning in the 1950s, Ambrose Congreve's passion for his spectacular garden is still evident today.
