In what seems to be the blink of an eye, we have transitioned from summer to fall and are now preparing for the holiday season. Please take a moment and review all the great special events, programs and special interest classes available in this edition of the Activity Guide.

I am also excited to share information about future parks in the City. Wyandotte Park and Evandale Park are currently under construction and anticipated to open this spring. Please look for City announcements and social media posts regarding grand opening dates. We can’t wait to open more parks for you and your family.

A new addition is coming to Rengstorff Park called Magical Bridge Playground. The innovative design elements of a Magical Bridge Playground go far beyond ADA standards to create a place where all people of all backgrounds and all abilities feel welcome. Public input meetings will be scheduled this winter so you can provide feedback on the playground design. Finally, I look forward to celebrating with you and your family at the Community Tree Lighting Celebration on Monday, December 9 on the Civic Center Plaza. Come enjoy the season with music, activities and, of course, a visit with Santa.
