FAMILY FUN DAY AT WILD MOUNTAIN

All ages | Registration fee: $14 per person

Spend a day enjoying unlimited rides on the Alpine Slide, Go-Karts and Freefall XP. Register by Friday, September 30, at noon. No exceptions. Note: transportation is not included. Location: Wild Mountain Recreation, Taylors Falls, MN

MIKE LYNCH'S MINNESOTA STAR WATCH PARTY

All ages | Registration fee: $10 per person

Make the stars your old friends as we watch the great celestial show in the skies! We’ll have giant telescopes aimed at Jupiter, Saturn, star clusters, galaxies and more. Get to know constellations like the Big Bear, Cygnus the Swan, Pegasus the Winged Horse and others. Mike Lynch is a retired WCCO meteorologist and has been hosting star watch parties and teaching astronomy classes since 1972. Location: Highview Middle School

FAMILY WRITING TIME: TELL YOUR OWN TALL TALES

Ages 5+ | Registration fee: $60 per adult /child pair

It’s time for Paul Bunyan to retire and put Babe the Blue Ox out to pasture! In this class, kids and parents come up with their own larger-than-life heroes and hard-to-believe adventures, either working together or trying to outdo each other in the tall tale tradition. FAMILY VINGO AND PIZZA

All ages | Registration fee: $7.50 per person

Join us for Family Vingo, or music video bingo! Clap, sing and dance along at the family event where where you use your music knowledge to win prizes! Fee inludes one slice of pizza. Additional pizza, drinks and concessions are available for purchase at the event. Location: Irondale High School

FAMILY CLAY

All ages | Registration fee: $50 per person

This three-hour intergenerational hand-building workshop will introduce participants to the wonders of clay through creating and decorating their own unique project. There are many creative choices made with each engagement and they will learn ceramic skills and processes along the way. Dress for mess! Presented by Northern Clay Center. Location: Edgewood Middle School

MESSY MUMMY ADULT AND CHILD CLASS

Ages 5+ | Registration fee: $45 per adult/child pair

In this class, artists will use special plaster strips to wrap up their very own mummy sculptures so they look just like the real thing. Mummies, dads and all other care givers can come haunt this spooktacular class and create a mummy too! Location: Chippewa Middle School
