Non-school day field trips
BABYSITTING AND CPR TRAINING
Grades 4-9
Learn the skills and knowledge to be a safe babysitter for infants up to children 10 years of age! You will learn how to stay safe, play with kids, handle household emergencies, feeding and bath time and be given resources on how to market your babysitting services. You will even get certified in CPR and AED training. A collaborative class with St. Anthony Community Services. Schedule and fee available online.
HOME ALONE
Grades 3-5
Children 8-10 years of age will learn the necessary skills and knowledge to be safe and responsible when home alone for short periods of time. You will learn how to prevent problems, handle real-life situations and stay safe. A collaborative class with St. Anthony Community Services. Schedule and fee available online.
TEENS, INC. DRIVING SCHOOL
This 35-hour program for students 14 years old and above will be conducted by a certified instructor from Teens Driving School, Inc., and will fulfill the state driver’s education requirement. The classroom portion of the course is 30 hours and will consist of lecture and discussion. Students will be taught defensive driving techniques and the “how to” and “whys” of safe driving. After completion of the program, students will be able to set up and participate in behind the wheel sessions to meet the six-hour state requirement. NON-SCHOOL DAY FIELD TRIPS
Experience high-quality supervision and engaging non-school-day field trips for students entering grades K-6. Field trips require students to bring a bag lunch. Drop-off is at Mounds View High School.
