Featured Photographer Sam Moore - MotorWerks Magazine Oakville, ON Sam Moore is the twelve year-old nephew of our Editor, Ian Rae. He has been subjected to Ian’s love of cars since he was old enough to crawl. From hanging out in the Media room at Toronto Motorsport Park watching Top Fuel dragsters to attending Mosport before it was called CTMP, Sam had no option but like cars. But loving cars has come from his online experiences with Internet racing, he is a huge fan of Forza 6 and Real Racing 3 on the iPhone. Like many other kids he loves the Fast and Furious franchise with the 1969 Ford Mustang of Roman Pearce (Tyrese Gibson) his favorite. The photos in this feature were taken at Ted Kalman’s Tedfest in Mississauga, ON. It is a favorite of classic BMW owners from all over Canada as well as the Northern States. The venue, the Bradley Museum has spectacular grounds that are perfect for a car show of this type. This was Sam’s first attempt at using a DSLR camera and you can see by the photos he has a knack for it. “I enjoy composing the picture using the emblems on the car,” he said. He went on, “I can only dream about owning cars like this but taking photos gets me close to the cars and that is cool. I had so much fun now I want to take photos of moving cars at a racetrack.” When asked about his favorite car at the event he said, “I know it is not a BMW but the Lotus Elise parked by the barn was pretty cool with all the vents and things.” When asked about his favorite car he said, “The Audi R8 V10, for sure, my uncle Ian got me a ride in his friends and that car is wicked, I had a huge grin the whole time I was in it!”
