Cardiff is a vibrant cosmopolitan European capital, which is easily accessible within only 2hours of London by train and its own international airport offering daily fights to the main capitals of Europe. Located in the heart of Cardiff, the arena is conveniently situated for all the city’s hotels and amenities making it the ideal venue for event organisers and visitors alike. The Motorpoint Arena Cardiff is a multipurpose venue; hosting everything from major International Music Shows, Conferences, Exhibitions, to Ice Shows, Comedy Shows and Award Dinners. With over 5,000 sq. metres of fully integrated event space under one roof, the building was designed with the event organiser in mind. The Main Arena can offer flexible layouts for 500-4994 delegates and for banqueting 350-1300. In addition, by utilising our Acoustic Drape, we can accommodate dual conference and exhibition events within the Main Arena.

We offer a further 31 well appointed function rooms ideal as syndicate and catering areas to accompany the main arena or perfect for the smaller individual event, which includes a range of Executive Boardrooms and Suites. Inspirational menus are available offering a sensational and varied selection to entertain your taste buds. If you are visiting Cardiff for a major sporting event, the Motorpoint Arena Cardiff is located within only minutes walking distance of the Millennium Stadium making it an ideal venue for Corporate Hospitality.

Dining layouts are maximum capacity and include space for a minimum of serving tables, if reception area is required within the room, capacity must be reduced. The Novello/Langleys 300 layout already includes reception area in the bar area of Langleys

ARENA FLOOR Maximum load is 15KN/M2 (1.5 tonnes/M2). A granwood floor is fitted throughout the arena main hall. Service ducts with power, telecom, data, water and waste, gas provision at selected locations. Adhesive tapes such as gaffer and double sided must be of type approved by venue. No drilling or fixing to the floor is allowed at any time.

MIXER CABLE RUN Standard running from centre stage to mixer position is 48m. Cable is run through the underground car park and can be accessed at any of 5 service ducts and centre stage.

RIGGING Clearance from standard stage to underside of steel is 10m. Clearance from Arena floor to underside of steel is 11.5m. Distance from high steel to low steel runs from 3.2m - 4.2m. Roof beams run from stage left to right at intervals of 4m - (except beams 8 to 9 - 4.7m). Bridle Steels have been installed at several positions above stage area, as rigging from top steel is only available at precise locations. A Health & Safety requirement of the Motorpoint Arena Cardiff is that the Venue Rigger oversees & inspects all Rigging undertaken in the Main Arena, for this there is a standard charge.
