Ashok C. Sani—husband, father, philanthropist, and businessman— embodied all this is good, and lived his life according to the basic principles of concern, care, thought, and action.

The Father’s Day/Mother’s Day Council honors him through the industry he loved by naming the “All-Star” Dad Award in his memory.

As with all his accomplishments and success, he truly exemplified, honored, and respected everything that an “All-Star” Dad represents. Sani will be missed in this life, but will be remembered always.

MASTER OF CEREMONIES MARK K. SHRIVER

Mark K. Shriver is Special Advisor at Save the Children, where he provides strategic guidance to the President and CEO and supports efforts to raise visibility, awareness, and funds for the agency and to advance policy change at the federal, state, and local levels.

Shriver joined Save the Children in 2003 and developed the agency’s domestic early childhood education programs, which today reach children in more than 300 rural communities. He also created Save the Children’s domestic emergencies programs to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children when disaster strikes.

An advocate for children throughout his career, Shriver led a national coalition that convinced Congress to create the National Commission on Children and Disasters.

He was appointed to the commission by Senator Harry Reid and elected chairperson by his fellow commissioners; he served in that role for the life of the commission (2008-2011).

In 2013, Shriver created Save the Children’s political advocacy arm, Save the Children Action Network (SCAN). SCAN seeks to build bipartisan solutions and generate voter support for policies that ensure that every child has an equal opportunity to succeed.

With a grassroots network that spans all 50 states, SCAN advocates for high-quality early learning and ending child hunger in the U.S., the safety of children arriving at the southern U.S. border, and educating and protecting kids around the world.

Shriver received his B.A. from The College of the Holy Cross and a Master’s in Public Administration from Harvard University. A bestselling author, he has written three books, 10 Hidden Heroes, Pilgrimage: My Search for the Real Pope Francis, and A Good Man: Rediscovering My Father, Sargent Shriver.

Shriver and his wife, Jeanne, live in Maryland and have three children, Molly, Tommy, and Emma.

My name is Jason Nalls. I am a devoted Christian, husband, father of four quirky kids, and my wonderful wife and I care for my father who suffers from Dementia. I am a Professional Driver.

At the height of the COVID -19 pandemic, it was my duty and pleasure to “Keep America Moving.” I am living a very blessed life by serving the community and congregation at Snellville Christian Church.

I am a coaching mentor who guides and helps equip student-athletes towards greatness within the Empowered 4 Life organization in Newnan, GA. It was my privilege to spend time serving and ministering to Cancer survivors and their families at Winship Cancer Institute in Atlanta, GA.

2022 HONOREE J AY S C H O T T E N S T E I N

Jay L. Schottenstein has served as Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Schottenstein Stores Corporation (SSC), privately held company, since 1992, and President since 2001.

Mr. Schottenstein also served as Vice-Chairman of Schottenstein Stores Corporation from 1986 to 1992 and a Director since 1982.

Mr. Schottenstein has served as a Chairman of the Board of American Eagle Outfitters (NYSE: AEO) and its predecessors since 1992 and is currently CEO. Since 2005, Mr. Schottenstein has served as Chairman of the Board of Designer Brands (NYSE: DBI) and its predecessor DSW (NYSE: DSW). From that date until 2009, Mr. Schottenstein also served as CEO of DSW. He also serves as Chairman of American Signature Inc./Value City Furniture, Schottenstein Property Group, SB360 Capital Partners, Second Avenue Partners, Tincati Milano, Retail Entertainment Design, Mayacamas Vineyards, and Equiant Financial Services.

Jay has his wife Jeanie, and their sons Joseph (Lindsay), Jonathan (Nicole), and Jeffrey (Ariella), along with other family members, are major benefactors to a number of local, national, and international special projects.

2022 HONOREE R YA N D AY

Ryan Day has guided Ohio State to a 34-4 record in his first three seasons as head coach and to an impressive 23-1 mark against Big Ten Conference competition. He is the first Ohio State coach to win Big Ten championships in his first two years as coach, and he has also set the standard by leading Ohio State into the College Football Playoffs for two consecutive years.

Day is the first Ohio State coach in 40 years to be named Big Ten Conference Coach of the Year, earning that honor in 2019. Day’s 13 victories in 2019 are tied for the most by a first-year FBS head coach. Day’s teams have won Sugar Bowl (2020) and Rose Bowl (2021) championships and they have been among the best offensive teams in the nation: in 2021 Ohio State led the nation in both scoring and total offense.

Day has coached 12 first-team All-Americans, four Heisman Trophy finalists, five consecutive Big Ten Quarterback of the Year honorees and three Chicago Tribune Silver Football award winners. In the classroom, his Buckeyes have set program records for number of OSU Scholar-Athletes (61 in 2020-21) and Academic All-Big Ten Conference honorees (46 in 2021).

In addition to his two NFL seasons as a quarterbacks coach, Day has 15 years of collegiate coaching experience, including offensive coordinator positions at Temple and Boston College, as well as positions with Florida—as a graduate assistant under Meyer—and at his alma mater, New Hampshire.

Day is a native of Manchester, NH. He was a three-year starting quarterback at New Hampshire when Chip Kelly was offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach. Day, and his wife, Christina, who is referred to as “Nina,” have three children: Ryan Jr. or “RJ”, Grace and Ourania or “Nia”.

Dave Price is the weather anchor for NBC 4 New York’s 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. newscasts. He also serves as a fill-in weather anchor for NBC’s TODAY. Prior to joining NBC 4 New York, Price co-anchored FOX 5’s Good Day New York and served as weather anchor for CBS’s The Early Show. He has also covered major weather events for the CBS Evening News, including Hurricane Katrina.

For more than a decade, Price has travelled to Iraq, Afghanistan, Kuwait, Djibouti and military installations around the globe during the holiday season, performing comedy for U.S. troops. He is also an active volunteer and supporter of children’s charities across the Tri-State region.

A native New Yorker, Price lives in New York City with his wife Jacqueline, along with their son Eli, daughter Caroline and adopted golden retriever Wally.
