There are 3 categories which are SA, SB, and SX under which the candidates can apply for KVPY 2018.

SA and SX is for the students studying in class 11 and 12 respectively, whereas SB is for the 1st year students in Graduation in the following stream>> B.Sc. /B.S. /B. Stat. /B. Math. /Int. How to Fill the KVPY Application Form 2018 Candidates who want to apply for KVPY 2018 can check the step by step instruction to fill the KVPY Application Form.

1. KVPY Registration – Go to the KVPY Official website and register with your email and mobile number to get User ID and Password.

2. Application Form Filling – Login with your User Id and Password to fill all the details such as name, date of birth, gender, category, exam centre preferences etc.

3. Upload Documents – The students filling KVPY Application Form will have to upload the following documents: • • • •

Scanned Image of Photograph and Signature Copy of Mark Sheet/Certificate of the Qualifying Examination Caste Certificate for SC/ST Students Medical Certificate in case of PWD candidates

4. Application Fee Payment – After filling the Application form, candidates can submit the application fee through Credit Card/Debit Card/Net Banking/Challan. For paying through offline mode which is Challan, you will need to take a printout of challan, make payment and upload a scanned copy of the duly filled challan to complete the application form.

KVPY Selection Process The selection in KVPY is based on final marks obtained by the candidates. The final result is combination of KVPY Aptitude Test and Personal Interview. KVPY Aptitude Test has 75% weightage, whereas 25% weightage of Personal Interview in the Final Result. Only the candidates who qualify KVPY Aptitude Test are called for KVPY Interview.

KVPY 2018 – Important Points to Remember • • • •

The candidates from engineering background are not eligible to apply for KVPY. The candidates can also take KVPY Aptitude Test in Hindi Language.

The candidates from any board are eligible to apply for KVPY. The candidates who appear in KVPY while studying in class 11 are also eligible to appear in KVPY while studying in class 12.
