A Meeting with 20 Members of Parliament on the state of Computer Labs. On Monday 22, November 2010, a team of 20 MPs of the Committee of Information, Science and Communication Technology visited the Easter region of Uganda with a particular interest of seeing the ICT facilities in the Computer Labs and to hear directly from the implementers of ICT in Education programmes. This committee is mandated by Parliament to oversee the activities and programmes of the Ministry of Information and Communication Technology. It was a follow up trip on The Secondary School ICT Computer Laboratory Project Phase II through which each school received 40 computers (terminals) in January 2010 from the Government of Uganda through the Uganda Communications Commission and the Rural Communications Development Fund. 200 Secondary schools received computers with a complete network.
