LOT - 269 268 - SCARCE REED “UNION” PADDLE WHEEL RIVER BOAT. 24” L. Paper litho. Upper deck railing missing. Paper overall good with some flaking and areas of missing paper. (JY). 500.00 - 800.00 269 - REED PAPER ON WOOD SIDEWHEELER PILGRIM STEAM BOAT. 28” L. Circa 1890. Pull toy on wheels. Very colorful. Three passenger decks, twin funnels, walking beam. Original rear American flag. Marked “Pilgrim” on both sides. Simulated waves on the bottom of the boat. Some minor paper loss and staining. (Very Good - Excellent). 1,200.00 - 1,800.00

270 - SCARCE PAPER ON WOOD “CITY OF NEW YORK” OCEANLINER 39” L. Very elaborate. Made by Bliss, circa 1895. Brightly lithographed in black, yellow and red. Three stacks, three masts with sails. Prow’s bar extends well out the forefront, two decks, wheels. Extraordinary original condition. Marked “City of New York” on front and rear of boat. Twin screw. All rigging and sails original. One of the nicest, most attractive paper on wood boats made. (Very Good - Excellent). 2,000.00 - 4,000.00 271 - EARLY AMERICAN MADE PAPER ON WOOD BATTLESHIP TOY. 36” L. Late 19th century. Unmarked but probably Bliss or Reed. Ramrod prow, three tall stacks, twin masts with six lookouts and gun stations. Swivel guns. Simulated ocean waves at the base. Deluxe model. Does have some slight spots of paper restoration here and there but is mostly original. Silk American flag looks original but cardboard French flag and front flag with stars looks to be copies. 272 - EARLY CLOCKWORK CONVERSE CANVAS TOP PHAETON AUTO. 15 -1/2” L. Circa 1908. Wind up motor on the bottom. Deluxe model with full cloth top. Looks to be the original wind shield. Composition driver has been added. Rear doors open. Has been refinished in maroon. Canvas is original but some what soiled. (Very Good). 800.00 - 1,200.00 273 - SCARCE CONVERSE CLOCKWORK TIN LITHO TROLLEY TOY. 12 -1/2” L. Looks to have original pole and placards. Nicely lithographed people in windows. Marked “Broadway Lexington Avenue 16” on both sides. Beautiful early toy. Very unusual early clockwork mechanism. Has an opened platform on each end. Circa 1900. (Excellent). 800.00 - 1,200.00
