OUT OF THIS WORLD!

Chapter One : The Beginning

It was a beautiful, sunny Sunday. Ellie, Boris, Roger and Ralf - also known as “The Crew” - were getting ready to leave for their mysterious adventure. They were nervous and excited for the journey ahead of them. Ellie wondered whether there was life in space.

The crew entered the space ship, ready to start their adventure in space. No-one saw what Roger was hiding in his pocket; he didn’t want the rest of the crew knowing what he was sneaking on board the space ship.

“Is everyone ready to go on this marvellous adventure?”, asked Ralf the Robot excitedly. Boris looked at Ralf with shock or fear in his eyes. Ellie was curious and nervous. “Is everyone ready to set off?”, Ellie mumbled nervously. “It’s ok, Ellie. There’s nothing to be nervous about”, said Roger calmly.

Chapter Two: The New World

Finally, the crew made it up into space. The discovered a bright, odd, green planet. “Oh no! We have run out of petrol! We must land on this bright, odd, green planet!”, cried a confused looking Ralf.

[landing noises]

“Why have we landed, Ralf? What’s wrong?”, asked Boris nervously. The crew went out to investigate.

“I’m going to find some petrol”, said Ralf. “Okay, Ralf, but stay safe!”, replied Boris, and then Ralf set off to find some petrol for the rocket ship. “I hope there’s petrol somewhere on this odd planet”, thought Ralf. He saw big rocks in the distance. “Maybe there’s petrol over there by those rocks”, he thought, and off he went to explore.

Ralf made it back to the team. “Hey guys, I’m back...and I found some petrol!”, he shouted. “Welcome back!”, said Roger. “I have made a new friend called Zim Zam. He’s a friendly alien. The alien made friendly alien noises. “Hello!”, said everyone. “Right, let’s get back to the rocket”, said Ralf. “Okay”, replied everyone, and off they went.

The crew were about to invite Zim Zam, the friendly alien, to travel with them in their space ship. Suddenly and without warning, Zim Zam disappeared! “Where did Zim Zam go?”, asked Ralf curiously. “He disappeared!”, replied Ellie. They heard an unusual, banging noise coming from outside the ship. It was another spaceship! “AHH!”, screamed Ellie. “We’re going to DIE!!”.

“Oh no! It’s Zim Zam’s evil twin, the Zam Master! We have to do something! Quick, Ralf!”. The crew were anxious about what was happening but Ralf knew exactly what to do. “Roger, can I borrow your laser gun?”, asled Ralf. “Sure thing”, said Roger. Ellie saw what was going on so she rushed to tell the others.

Ellie rushed to tell the others the awful news. “Guys! GUYS! LISTEN UP!”, Ellie yelled nervously. “What’s happened?”, asked Boris. “I just saw what happened to Zim Zam...”

Chapter Three: The Disappearance

Ellie explained to the crew what she had seen. "OMG!", cried Roger! "I know! It's crazy!", said Ellie.

The crew decided to go to this odd, red planet, and once they had arrived, Ellie sighrd a shigh of relief. "Phew!", she said. "I'm glad we're safe now". Suddenly, they found some shelter. "In here!", said Roger, happily. "Aaaaaaaaaaaaaah!", screamed Ellie. "There's something...or someone...over there...and I can see GUNS!". Ralf sensed that they all needed to find somewhere safer to stay. "Come on! Quick!", he shouted!

They all ran out of the cave and back to the ship. "What's that?", asked Roger., pointing towards an evil looking individual. Ralf knew who it was, and he felt a knot in his stomach. It was the Zim Master. "Everyone to the rocket, NOW!!

The Zim Master is DANGEROUS!!", he shouted nervously.

The crew ran back to the space ship and they set off as quickly as they could.

"We are never going there again!", said Boris. Suddenly, the space ship went into a mysterious black hole. "Aaaaaaaaaah", screamed The Crew!

Chapter Four: The Disrupter

The space ship and its crew got sucked into the black hole. "Where are we?! What happened?!", asked Roger anxiously. "We could be anywhere!", said Ralf. It certainly was a VERY odd place.

The crew realised that the space ship was beginning to sink. "Oh, no! We're sinking! We had better get out of here FAST!", and so they ran to the back of the space ship and entered the Escape Pod. "Phew! That was close! Lucky there's a mini space ship at the back of the ship!".

The crew floated around in the Escape Pod for quite a while. "I think this is the end for us", said Ralf, despairingly, and as he was muttering these desperate words, the engine started to fail. "Bum, bum, bum, bum, bum. bum...", and then the engine died. Suddenly, without any notice, Boris, Ellie, Ralf and Roger started floating.

"What's going on?!", the all exclaimed.

"We can fly!", said Ellie.

"I think I have super strength!", said Boris. "I think I have super speed!", shouted Roger.. "I am able to make myself invisible!", said Ellie, as she disappeared and then made herself visible again.

"And I feel like I have just acquired super human intelligence", said Ralf. "WOW!", they all said in unison.

Boris and Ellie suggested that they rebuild the space ship. "That's not a bad idea", replied Ralf. "Ok. Let's do this!", said the crew and they happily set to work, making the most of their new found abilities to build a bigger, better space ship.

Twenty one hours later... "Hooray!", shouted Boris. "Let's reverse out of this black hole!". "How?", asked Ralf.

"Let me worry about that!", replied Boris, excitedly.

"Wwwwwwweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!", laughed Roger. "That was a great trick!".

"We're alive!", said Boris, triumphantly., and when he looked through the space ship's window, he could see the black hole in the distance. They were safe again.

"I wonder

if Zim Master and his minions are waiting for us on the Red Planet", asked Ellie.

"If they are, they had better watch out!", replied Boris. Ellie wondered what he meant by that, but said nothing.

Chapter Five: The Revenge of Earth

The crew went to the Red Planet in their new space ship. They were all nervous about what the evil Zim Master had in store for them as they landed. "Stick to the secret plan", advised Roger, as they set their eyes on the Zim Master.

"Come forth you silly little creatures!", demanded the Zim Master.

"H-H-H-Hello!", gulped Ellie, nervously.

One...two...three Zim Zam minions...ATTACK!", shouted the Zim Master. "....."

KABOOOM!! ........... "Wh-? Wha-?! What was THAT?!", cried Ralf.

"I am going to DESTROY you...Ha-Ha-Haaa!!", shouted the Zim Master, viciously.

"You can try, Zim Master", replied Boris. "But if we win, we get to keep Zim Zam, the friendly alien!".

The crew came together, and with all their might and super powers, they were able to overpower him. "We are VICTORIOUS", the crew celebrated!

Chapter Six: The End (-ish)

The crew finally made it back to Earth after 65,021 years away in space and everything had gone back to normal again. After so much time away, Ralf needed to charge his phone, Boris needed a polish, Ellie went for a much-needed massage and Roger booked himself in for a haircut.

They were just settling back into a normal, earthly life when they heard a noise...

"Space crew! I repeat, Space Crew!". The noise was coming out of the walkie talkie in Roger's pocket. He had been trying to hide it from The Crew.

"Why didn't you throw that away after our last mission?!", asked Boris. "SSShhhhh!!", replied Roger.

"There's something odd happening in space", said the voice in the walkie-talkie.

"We need you NOW!"

Ralf, Ellie, Roger and Boris looked at each other...and SCREAMED!

Ralf, Roger, Ellie and Boris will return in...

A Space Mystery!

Gruff Williams and Catelyn Anderson are both Year 7 pupils at Ysgol Morgan Llwyd in Wrexham. They have co-written a series of science-fiction books.

Gruff is an avid fan of Doctor Who and he loves to write books. He hopes to be an architect when he's older.

Catelyn loves nature programmes and elephants. She wants to be a zoologist or an archeologist in the future.
