Hello from Moravian University!

We’re excited to be a part of your college search process and can’t wait to show you what makes Moravian such a special place. As the Fastest-Growing University in the Region, we’ve seen a 51% increase in full-time enrollment since 2014—a reflection of our commitment to delivering a truly transformative education.

With over 280 years of history, Moravian continues to grow and evolve. Now proudly recognized as a university, we’re known nationally for our academic excellence—ranked by The Princeton Review and U.S. News & World Report. We’re also an Apple Distinguished School, providing incoming undergraduate and transfer students with a MacBook Pro, iPad, Apple Pencil, and Apple Watch—tools that power an innovative and collaborative learning environment and that level the technology playing field for all of our students. And with 98% of our Class of 2024 employed or in graduate school within 10 months of graduation, your future is in good hands here.

At Moravian, we believe in supporting the whole student. Wellness is a vital part of life here, woven into everything we do. From free on-campus counseling to our 10,000-square-foot fitness center, you’ll have access to the resources you need to thrive.

And there’s even more to look forward to. Opening in fall 2025, our brand-new, $42 million, state-of-the-art student center—affectionately called the HUB—will become the heart of student life at Moravian. Designed with your success and wellness in mind, the HUB will feature the enhanced Laurie Riley ’82 Center for Career Success, an updated Health and Counseling Center, a vibrant Student Organization Suite, and a dedicated Mindfulness Suite for study or relaxation.

Nestled in the vibrant college town of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, Moravian offers everything you’re looking for: inspiring faculty, the latest technology, a welcoming community, and an experience that will truly shape your life. And with 100% of incoming freshmen and transfer students receiving financial aid, we’re committed to making your education accessible.

Be sure to keep an eye out for our admission counselors—they’ll be visiting high schools, attending college fairs, and hosting on-campus events for students like you. It would really make their day if you stopped by to say hello!

Gain a Global Perspective

Our Center for Global Education is dedicated to breaking down the borders of your education and expanding your horizons far beyond the Lehigh Valley.

Moravian believes that all of its students should get to experience the world—and employers need you to be ready to live and work in a world that demands a global perspective. That’s why we built funding for a short-term travel program into your Elevate experience!

GLOBAL GREYHOUND TRAVEL PROGRAM

Once you have completed two consecutive semesters (two 16-week semesters: fall and spring), you’ll be eligible to participate in an education abroad opportunity, or, as we like to call it, a Global Greyhound Travel Program. Your Elevate experience includes funding for a short-term travel course with a group of fellow Moravian students to an international destination of your choice! All travel programs are led by Moravian faculty and staff.

You can choose your travel program by location or course topic—for example, you can learn about biodiversity and sustainability in Costa Rica or study archaeology in Israel. All travel programs are open to every major, but some might have additional requirements, such as a language proficiency.

Here’s a sampling of where our students traveled in recent years:

• Costa Rica

• Czech Republic

• France

• Germany

SEE THE WORLD

• Greece

• Honduras • Italy

• Jamaica

And if you want to take your education even further, consider traveling abroad for an entire semester, taking an Alternative Break Service trip to volunteer, or interning internationally. The world is yours to discover.

• Japan

• South Korea

• Spain

The Student Opportunities for Academic Research (SOAR) program is designed to facilitate student research in collaboration with a faculty mentor and covers a wide range of subjects.

Career Goals, Realized

Your Moravian undergraduate experience, Elevate, ensures you’re not just ready for graduation, but ready to lead with confidence and impact.

“The Elevate badging process helped me get out of my comfort zone and grow professionally. It’s opened my eyes to the experiences that helped me expand my résumé and prepared me for my future.”

MEET YOUR CAREER SUCCESS TEAM

Every undergraduate student is paired with a dedicated career success team—your personal go-to resource from day one through graduation. Together, you’ll explore your career goals, make confident decisions, and uncover opportunities like internships, job shadowing, and networking with industry professionals. We’ll also help you build a strong career toolkit so you’re ready to take on anything that comes next.

BUILD YOUR DIGITAL RÉSUMÉ

Your Elevate experience is going to prepare you for a successful life after graduation, but how will you summarize your four years of college on your résumé? Can you showcase all that you’ve accomplished and learned in your job interviews or grad school applications?

Moravian University’s Career Readiness Digital Badges, offered by the Laurie Riley ’82 Center for Career Success, have you covered, providing the perfect way for you to articulate your Elevate experience and stand out to potential employers or graduate schools.

OUR CAREER PROMISE

If you complete all eight badges by the end of your senior year, hold at least a 2.70 GPA, and are not employed or enrolled in graduate school within one year of graduating, you may qualify for financial support to help pay off your student loans and free enrollment in select undergraduate or graduate courses. And, of course, Moravian will always provide continued support with networking, job opportunities, résumé updates, and professional development.

THE CENTER FOR FIRSTGENERATION STUDENTS

The Center for First-Generation Students (First Hounds) provides a supportive and welcoming community at Moravian University for firstgeneration college students and their family members. You are considered a first-generation student if neither of your parents completed a four-year college or university bachelor’s degree program in the United States. Moravian established this center because we recognize that being the first in your family to go to a four-year college can be tough— you’ll have a lot of questions and new experiences. We’re here to guide you through.

The Stars Shine Bright in Bethlehem, PA

Nestled in Pennsylvania’s scenic Lehigh Valley, Moravian University is proud to call Bethlehem home. With several colleges and universities in the area, the valley has a vibrant, welcoming college-town feel that’s perfect for learning and exploring.

Moravian’s campus is truly one of a kind, with distinct north and south ends connected by the iconic Moravian Mile, a Main Street stretch that runs right through historic downtown and was designated the No. 1 Main Street by USA Today in 2025.

CULTURE

Bethlehem pulses with concerts, restaurants, arts, and all the local appeal of a college town—plus it’s an easy drive to New York City, Philadelphia, or Washington, DC. In 2024, Moravian Church Settlements–Bethlehem was added to the UNESCO World Heritage List as part of a global network. Several buildings on our university’s South Campus are included in this prestigious designation, placing us alongside global landmarks like the Great Wall of China and the Pyramids of Giza.

SAFETY

The safety of our students is a top priority at Moravian. The Moravian University Campus Police work to maintain a safe and secure environment for everyone and are always available to help, should the need arise. We also offer 24-hour escort and daily shuttle services, as well as emergency blue-light phones throughout campus.

WEATHER

The Lehigh Valley experiences all four seasons to the fullest. Fall brings crisp sweater weather and colorful leaves. Winter cloaks our campus in snow. Spring offers rain and blooming flowers. And summer is sunny and warm. Every season brings a little something different to Bethlehem, and we love it!
