Eavan Matz ’14
With the tools Moravian College gave her, says Eavan Matz, she was able to “follow her dreams.” Eavan lives in New York City and works in sales for Meltwater, an innovative global technology company that monitors and curates media data to help companies and organizations improve their business strategies.
Looking back: “Moravian played a large part in
my becoming the woman I am. I had the opportunity to do so many amazing things during my four years at the college. I was able to study abroad with two of my best friends and roommates. I was an integral part of multiple championship softball teams. I also collaborated with our Dean of students, brainstorming alternate housing-plan ideas, and pitching new senior-week activities and traditions. And I was fortunate enough to have sat on various student panels for admissions and talk about how great my experience had been. I was able to do all of these things and more, all while receiving a top notch education.”
Paying it forward: Matz is a consistent young alumni donor and took on the role of Give Day Ambassador in the first Moravian College Give Day this past spring. “I know better than anyone that no one goes through this life on their own. Without the support of my professors, coaches, Moravian’s faculty and staff, and the numerous donors and alums of the college, my Moravian experience would have been drastically different. I do my best to give back in any way that I can, so that future students will be able to pursue their own opportunities and create their own amazing Moravian College experience in whatever way each student chooses.”
