“And so much more.”
That’s the phrase that reverberates through my mind when I think about this year with The Cause. Yes, we provide administrative support for our partners which includes their 501(c)(3) covering and donation processing, but what God has called us to do is so so much more!
The community that’s taking shape because of our commitment to our partners and their commitment to The Cause is changing the world.
2023 was a red-letter year…
• We brought on more partners than any previous year. (26 to be exact!)
• Thanks to generous friends, we got to facilitate a partner retreat with 55 individuals.
• Wonderful donors committed to funding our Internal Grant Program and we gave out the first round of grants to partners.
• Our team launched Global Allies, which connects partners with a volunteer advocate.
• The Find Your Cause campaign was initiated, bringing in new volunteers and supporters.
• We hosted Roundtables, Workshops, and Huddles for our partners.
All this is great, and at the end of the day, only one thing really matters. Are we being obedient to partner with God in bringing the Kingdom to earth?
That’s our one metric, our true North. That’s the question that, as CEO of The Cause, I ask myself and our team every day.
Thankfully, the answer to that question is yes.
Our goal, as The Cause continues to expand into new territories, is to continue to focus on the main thing. We have said from the start, “The Cause is not actually about The Cause, we are about our partners.” Our vision is to empower Kingdom leaders to accomplish their God-given visions!
We are doing our job when our partners are empowered, known, loved, equipped, wrapped into a transformational community, and ready to bring their unique calling to the world. It’s our mission to provide them with all the support they need, administratively, spiritually, and strategically.
No matter how much God allows us to grow, our North will not change. We explain to every partner who joins us what it looks like for them to change the world, and for us to do the rest. It turns out that the rest is the “And so much more!”
We believe what you’re doing is important. In fact, we think it’s changing the world.
Our mission is simple. It’s to help you accomplish your mission!
Our goal isn’t to make you fit in a box of what ministry should look like. We realize every calling and dream is as unique as the person God entrusts it to.
We are a community that offers administrative, spiritual, emotional, and strategic support, freeing up your time to focus on your passion.
You change the world… we’ll do the rest!

When you give to The Cause, you make these Partner benefits possible:
Partners receive tax-deductible donations through a 501(c)(3) without having to start their own.
We take care of the accounting and paperwork associated with processing donations and make it easy for partners to access their funds.
We have partner-only events, roundtables, and retreats, which provide a safe space among like-minded peers.
Supporters can learn about partner ministries and give online through our website. Our donation platform gives partners access to monthly donations, campaign funds, and peer-to-peer fundraisers.
We champion our partners through our newsletters and social media channels. We’re their biggest cheerleaders!
We uplift, support, and connect our partners with resources to help them spiritually. We make it our business to know how we can be standing with them in prayer.
We believe in what our partners are doing. We’re there for them through good times and challenging times, and we love cheering them on behind the scenes.
We take the time to provide wise counsel as our partners grow in their projects/ministry. We hold them to their goals and provide supporters with peace of mind.
Simplifying the giving process by matching donors with causes that align with their passions.
Uniting international grassroots leaders with the people and resources necessary to elevate their ministries.
Partners meet in high-accountability groups to strategize, problem-solve, and set practical goals for their ministries.
Through funding and mentoring, the Internal Grant Program gives donors a direct avenue to participate in building grassroots ministries.
In addition to those Partner benefits, your support allows us to do so much more!

Our Partners at Outpour broke ground on a safe home for children on the Thailand-Myanmar border. This labor of love marks a significant step in their long journey of championing the rights of stateless children in this wartorn area. The safe haven will go beyond traditional care by offering vulnerable children legal protection, foster families, education, and comprehensive support.
In a region where statelessness is prevalent, Outpour aims to tackle the challenges faced by children without citizenship, ensuring they receive proper legal identification, education, and the opportunity for a brighter future. The ultimate goal is to reunite these children with their families or facilitate legal placement in forever families.
Outpour's vision revolves around restoration, believing in the transformation of these children's lives and families. Inspired by Isaiah 61:3-4, they are dedicated to rebuilding the old ruins, raising up former desolations, and repairing the cities of many generations.
The Mbutfu community, where Mapile Vilakati was raised, has never recovered from the devastating effects of HIV/AIDS. Many children there are growing up without parents. Mapile and his wife Hannah have founded a community center that is transforming the lives of youth through sports, discipleship, and educational assistance. Through this initiative they provide daily meals to 200+ children.
In 2023, Mapile and Hannah have focused on local empowerment, achieving full funding for a preschool initiative and fostering sustainability through thriving farming projects. Their deep passion is to pave a brighter future for youth in Eswatini.
Speaking from his experiences, Mapile hosted a workshop for fellow Cause Partners titled Letting Leaders LeadEmpowering Local Kingdom Builders. Mapile’s goal with this workshop was to help partners ask the right questions to lift up indigenous leaders. We’re grateful to work closely with local leaders like the Vilakatis, as they bring incredible visions to reality!
In late 2021 we had the privilege of beginning a partnership with Allina Robie. When we prayed over her launch at our first Partner Retreat, we had no idea that full-scale war would soon break out in Ukraine. Despite the obstacles brought on by war, Allina has remained faithful to serving orphans in Ukraine and we have been honored to walk alongside her.
With a small group of committed leaders, she is working to establish a loving and nurturing home for 8-10 orphaned or abandoned children. Many of these kids sadly aren't eligible for adoption due to local laws. The home that Allina envisions is filled with love and laughter allowing each child the opportunity to create deep, life-giving bonds and grow up surrounded by loved ones.
We love supporting Allina with administrative help, strategic counsel, and spiritual care, as she provides hope for vulnerable children in a time and at a place where it's desperately needed.
Hope Farms, a recovery home in New England. This safe space for women who've faced trafficking provides a supportive community nestled on a beautiful 15-acre property, with 17 bedrooms and a 3-bedroom cottage.
The home offers rent-free living for up to 12 women and their children, fostering honesty, sobriety, and self-sufficiency over a transformative 24 months. This isn’t just any shelter! Living Hope Farms focuses on holistic healing, giving residents the time and support they need to recover from abuse while providing educational and paid vocational opportunities. The program also has a matched savings initiative to empower women with financial independence.
And the leaders of this home? You guessed it. The very same women that have experienced both the horrors of this abuse AND the freedom that comes with safety and belief that there's another plan for their lives.

Sprite and Kristen Chuenchum are on a mission to help children in Thailand grow up in loving families instead of institutional care. From slum ministry to governmental training, they aim to change the orphan care system through reunification and reconciliation. Along the way, they have fully engaged with The Cause and taken advantage of the partner benefits we are privileged to offer!
Sprite and Kristen are working to equip local leaders with the tools necessary to strengthen families facing the most intense vulnerabilities. They completed a handbook that outlines how to strengthen families, then trained 26 professionals in that material. Those individuals have now trained their organizations and communities. All in all the Chuenchum's have empowered over 100 leaders, who serve more than 6,000 families, with the tools, and attitudes, they need to strengthen families of children in vulnerable situations all over Thailand.
On top of this transformative ministry, the Chuenchums have been on a personal journey that has required some big trust in The Cause. In 2022, through webinars and coaching from The Cause, they were challenged to boldly raise funds to make their family more financially stable for the long haul - eventually becoming fully funded which included; starting a retirement fund, getting better health insurance, and saving for a house.
In 2023, they saw the fruit of their labor with the purchase of their first home, the birth of their first child, and several milestones that set their future on a more sustainable path. In 2024, we celebrate Sprite and Kristen being freed up to pursue their incredible calling!

We are overjoyed by what The Cause is growing into. After a record-setting year, the question that we keep asking ourselves is - how do we keep relationships central while continuing to grow?
Here’s what we’ll focus on in 2024:
Every partner has a Global Ally.
Global Allies are volunteers who provide Partners with the people, knowledge, and resources they need to achieve their Godgiven vision. We aim to mobilize a dedicated team of volunteers to make this happen.
Launch a collaboration for Kingdom-minded nonprofit leaders.
When these visionsetters are tired, burnt out and in need of help they often reach out to The Cause. We are in a unique position to serve, train, and network.
Implement streamlined systems for organizational efficiency.
To keep our relationships strong as we grow, our goal has been to automate everything we can to free up more time and relational energy for our Partners!
Operate from a place of financial sustainability.
We aim to help all our Partners fundraise their full budgets, increase our Internal Grant Program, host creative fundraising events, run multiple campaign funds yearly, and receive grants for The Cause.
Financial support through one-time and recurring gifts is necessary to run any organization but we know that giving is so much more.
