Infinite Regress is an exhibition of works created in collaboration with college students as part of the Arts Tasmania Education Residency Program, 2022.
The product of various discussions and student contributions, the works are evidence of the emergent phenomena that occurs in an open, democratic, and collaborative process, and use methods of cut-up and détournement to explore the nature of image making.
Supported by Arts Tasmania.
A bright and cheerful mosaic exhibition presenting artworks by participants in the Mosaic Mandala Workshops, which were run by artist Donna Ritchie at MAC in early 2022.
Before retiring three years ago, I worked as a nurse for 46 years. I have always had a passion for creating and when I saw the brightly coloured plastic lids and other objects disposed of in hospital theatres, I explored using them in my artwork. This exhibition includes photos and papier-mâché animals I have created, then decorated and accentuated using these recycled and found bits and pieces.
Papier Whimsy is a friendly, fun exhibition that uses recycled and reused material. It demonstrates that art can be accessible, affordable and available to anyone. I hope people see my fantastic creatures, smile and think “I could do that!”.
A collection of drawings that illustrate the beauty of the natural sphere of life and its importance to the psychological wellbeing of the human mind and emotion.
Following Kevin Fields’ passing in May 2022, his family and friends have worked with MAC to present his exhibition as planned to celebrate his life and creativity.
Escape is a collaboration between myself and the wood I use to create these objects. Within the sphere of my pieces you will find the exquisitely functional, the beauty of nature and the spiritually themed bizarre! All have been painstakingly crafted and all are irresistibly tactile. I create things of beauty that I hope will inspire others to take up their tools and create something wonderful for themselves.
The Glenorchy Open celebrates the creativity of our community, and is open to all artists who live, work or have a strong connection to the City of Glenorchy. The exhibition features work by artists, from emerging to established, working in any media including painting, drawing, printmedia, sculpture, installation, photography, ceramics, textiles, digital media and more.
