STEM to RMUTL STEAM
The system of STEM is the guideline of learning management integrating four multi-disciplines: Science, Engineering, Technology, and Mathematic. This knowledge emphasizes on problem-solving in real life situations including system development or new products which are beneficial for living and work. Learning at present is not only limited to the STEM, it must be learned with creativity management and cumulated knowledge to true development. The new system of learning is emerged which is called “STEAM3”- S=Science, T= Technology, E=Engineering, A=Art, M 3=Mathematics Management Marketing. This system is the learning system integrated by four multi-disciplines with Art, Management, and Marketing to develop to comprehensive educational guideline. The project “Lanna Tak, Science Learning, Creative Thinking, Technology Development (RMUTLSTEAM3)” which is under supervision of the university network is the project focusing on teachers and students development in the level of junior high school and vocational school by using STEAM3 learning management. The system will integrate expertise and collaboration from educational persons of 4 faculties in Rajamagala University of Technology Tak Campus which are Faculty of Sciences and Agricultural Technology, Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Fine Arts and Architecture, and Faculty of Business Administration and Liberal Arts as well as establishing the 10 นิตยสาร ราชมงคลลานนา
collaborating network among educational institutes for operations to levitate the quality in both local and national basic educational level and higher education. The participants of this project will learn thinking process, design, and simulation experiments in different situations by using STEAM3 learning management. There are educational networks realized that it is important to support educational persons to participate in this project. When the project finished, the educational institutes attending the project could bring the learning process to pass on to students so that the universities can pursue and support which could lead to educational development in the next level. Last year, Rajamangala University of Technology Lanna Chiang Mai applied the STEM learning process to teachers and students. This year, the university has continuously operated in phase 2 which is under supervision of the university network. This demonstrates that determination to bring the teaching techniques to enhance students by using STEAM 3 learning management, and to build collaborating network among local educational institutes. The university as a leader in higher education will supply resources and academic expertise and technology to develop educational quality to educational networks to be consistent with the educational policy of the Ministry of Education.
