Developmental Screenings

HEALTH/HEARING/VISION SCREENINGS CHILD FIND

Screening and Registration for next year’s Kindergarten students in the Colman-Egan School District will be held Thursday, March 23, 2023, at the Colman-Egan School. Kindergarten screenings are open to any child who will be 5 by September 1, 2023. All students enrolling in kindergarten must have a copy of their state-issued birth certificate and immunization record on file by August 14, 2023.

All new preschool students starting in the fall of 2023 are encouraged to attend developmental screenings on Thursday, March 23rd. Preschool students must be 3 by September 1, 2023, and must be fully potty trained. The 4-5 year old MWF preschool classes are full.

Appointments are necessary for these screenings. Please call the school at 605-534-3534 to make an appointment by March 20, 2023.

Public Health Nurses will conduct health assessments. The South Dakota School for the Deaf will conduct hearing screenings and the South Dakota Lions Foundation will conduct vision screenings.

Child Find for the Colman-Egan School District #50-5 will also be conducted Thursday, March 23, 2023. The program is designed to identify all children birth to age 21 with special needs, children in need of 504 services, and homeless children.

Job Description: The Dispensing Associate is responsible for fulfilling orders behind the retail counter and issuing pre- packaged products that have been purchased to customers. The Dispensing Associate must have a complete understanding of the use and side effects of our products. Dispensing Associate will be given the task of preparing, dispensing, distributing, and administering cannabis-based products under the direct supervision of the Dispensary Lead, Supervisor or Manager.

Physical Requirements:

The Retail Assistant Manager is responsible to oversee the daily operations of the store. Monitor product inventory, purchasing and sales. Coordinate and determine the most cost-effective marketing and assemble the best possible sales team. Serve as a positive role model by providing extensive training of products and maintaining the skills and safety of current staff. Follow all laws and regulations provided by tribal state and local laws. Maintains accurate revenue records for reporting to upper management. Develops and updates standard operating procedures, evaluates and trains employees on a regular basis.

• Ability to move about the dispensary, handle various types of media and equipment, and visually or otherwise identify, observe, and assess.

Education & Qualifications:

• Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent.

• The ability to operate a point-of-sale computer system and cash register proficiently.

• Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.

• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

• Must pass a Pre-employment drug test and background check

• Must be able to stand for 8 to 10 hours per shift.

• Must have a valid South Dakota Driver’s License.

Education & Qualifications:

• 5 + years of successful retail management experience with profit and loss responsibility highly preferred.

• Must have demonstrated experience to manage a team, work evenings, weekends and/or holidays to meet store needs.

• Minimum two years of administrative customer relations/customer service experience; experience in the retail & health industry a plus.

• Proficient use and understanding of Point of Sale (POS) systems, inventory management practices, Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.

• Ability to communicate professionally in person, over the telephone, through email and other electronic means.

• Excellent computer proficiency/ working within a point-of-sale computer system.
