JUNE AMBROSE Secretary of Style

“She took guys who were only wearing Timberland boots and baggy jeans and put them in cuff links and Tom Ford suits.”

-Swizz Beats (The New York Times, 2011)

Inspired by Japanese animation, June’s creative direction is quite iconic and unlike any others. With a published book “Effortless Style” and a VH1 reality TV show “Styled By June”, June has profoundly added many avenues to her career, making her quite the multihyphenate.

“What we stylists do is very intimate; We’re literally stripping someone to their core and clothing is only the 1st layer.”

“Everyone was so segregated. Costume Designers did films, stylists did editorial or advertising. I bridged both and [thought] how we can change the narrative to create these editorial and cinematic experiences within a short form genre.”

-June Ambrose (Vogue, 2020)

As with other industry giants, June aided in the revolutionary change for Fashion Houses to begin to lend clothing to Hip Hop artists. She is also one of the first to bridge that gap between styling and designing for music and film entertainment genres.

Simply put, June Ambrose is every bit of the “Industry Titan” that all know her to be. A Title worth honoring for a Woman who is still blazing pathways for others alike.

Jay-Z calls her his Secretary Of Style.
