more and more interested to know the difference between these two natural stones. Marble and granite surfaces are both equally beautiful, highly sought-after surfacing materials. But each one has its own specialty and beauty. Weighing both cons and pros for deciding on one over the other for surfacing your project is necessary.

So what is the difference? Granite is formed by the solidification and cooling of magma deep within the earth over a period of millions of years. It mainly consists of Feldspar, Quartz which is very hard in minerals. A metamorphic stone like Marble is created when a sedimentary stone undergoes a certain transformation in itself. Two sedimentary rocks get metamorphosed into marble under intense heat and pressure. This process incorporates other minerals into marble that can give the stone attractive colours. So basically marble originates as limestone and then transforms into marble.
