NEUROLOGICAL DISORDERS Parkinson’s is a disorder that affects nerve cells in the part of the brain that controls muscle movement. People with Parkinson’s often experience trembling, muscle rigidity, difficulty walking and problems with balance and coordination. Join Amy Epperley with Carilion NRV Medical Center to learn more about Parkinson’s and Essential Tremors and what you can do to help improve these conditions with diet and exercise. HEARING CLINIC Dr. Lauren Smith, Audiologist, will discuss gradual hearing loss, types of hearing aids, how hearing aid fittings are performed and answer questions you might have on hearing loss.
