The following slides review the safety and security enhancements the school hopes to implement with the financial support of parents and community members.
1. Expanded Interior Video Surveillance
● Install additional cameras to monitor high-traffic interior areas and hallways at both campuses
● Estimated Costs: $10,000 - $15,000
● Ideal Timeline: Summer 2025
2. Enhanced Visitor Management System
● Implement a digital visitor management system to streamline student/parent/visitor check-in & check-out process
● Offers real-time visitor criminal background checks
● Estimated Costs: $7,000
● Ideal Timeline: Summer 2025
3. Additional Playground & Building Fencing
● Install additional fencing to close off Ben’s Field and areas between buildings at the Lead Mine Campus.
● Estimated Costs: $40,000-$50,000
● Ideal Timeline: Summer / Fall 2025
4. Campus Emergency Response Mapping
● Updated mapping of campus and buildings
● Estimated Costs: $10,000
● Ideal Timeline: Fall 2025
5. Enhanced Building Access Control System
● Install a keycard/badge access control system on all building main entrance doors to improve employee/vendor access.
● Estimated Costs: $70,000
● Ideal Timeline: 1 - 2 Years
6. Hire Additional Internal Security Personnel
● Hire at least one additional security officer at the Lead Mine Campus and one officer at the Brier Creek Campus.
● Provide annual training and necessary equipment to support the ongoing safety and security of both campuses.
● Estimated Costs: $150,000 / year
● Ideal Timeline: 1 - 2 Years
