The idea came about after news spread about the National Guard troops getting substandard food. “This pandemic has put a microscope on our food supply chain and it’s broken,” said Walter Schweitzer, President of Montana Farmers Union. “I reached out to our partners at Farmers Union Enterprise and they agreed that we need to feed our guard nutritious meals. The husband and wife team who own and operate Flathead Lake Cheese in Ronan, Wendi Arnold and her husband Joe, will celebrate 10 years of operation. HOW IT ALL BEGAN: Wendi and Joe owned a home in Polson and would summer there and winter in Arizona. As a result of 9/11 both lost their jobs.
