ACKNOWLEDGMENTS This is the thirty-fifth year the compiled creative efforts of our community of students has been published. For Therese and I, this is only our third issue as editors together. The publication of this journal is the highlight of our academic year. However, this year has provided us with more obstacles than we have had to partake within.

Due to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) causing a global pandemic, the lack of students on campus combined with students not enrolling within the creative writing class contributed to the lack of writing submissions. For this issue specifically, with having no writing submissions submitted from our students, the composition of this issue changed entirely and focuses entirely on its namesake—the images.

Despite there being no writing submissions, the art students were able to be persistent and to produce excellent work. Our hope is for you to see what our students have accomplished in the face of these circumstances. We hope the amount of work and effort these students are doing is resounding within this publication.

We would like to thank everyone involved in making this volume a reality. To the contributors: thank you for your courage and willingness to submit work for everyone to view, consider, and remember. To those who work behind the scenes — Kevin Cooper, Rachel Eagle, Doug Richter, Joe Verkennes and Jessica Collins (Alumna, Associate of Applied Science Degree in Graphic Design) we appreciate you, and we hope you know there would be no Images without your help.

We are already gathering material for our next issue. From now through next February, we will be accepting submissions from MCCC students to feature in the thirty-sixth volume. We collect these submissions through our magazine’s email address: images@ monroeccc.edu.
