What a year 2022 shaped up to be After nearly two years of travel being grounded due to the pandemic, it seemed like everyone was crawling out of their proverbial caves and towards the light - ready to jump on a plane, and make up for lost time

We learned a ton of things throughout the course of COVID (the Greek alphabet for one), but one thing that the pandemic showed us was how

truly irreplaceable that in-person interaction is in making us feel connected to each other We were personally witness to thousands of reunions - some tearful, some scored by the soundtrack of laughter - as colleagues and friends finally had the chance to reconnect after two years of only seeing each other through a Zoom screen

It was something genuinely heartwarming to behold, and reminded us of the magic in what we do

2022 was also a big year at Moniker Having made it through what by all means and measures should have sunk us as a company, we emerged stronger than ever, as remote working became en vogue, and companies embraced the need to gather at least once a year

Over the coming pages you'll see the stories of others who did just that, emerging from the pandemic intact, and celebrating finally being able to reconnect

We started the year off with a bang, with one of our own biannual internal retreats With a mix of valuable work sessions on improving our systems and brainstorming new ideas, to fun

Iicebreaker games, and learning to surf and paddle-board, the Moniker team enjoyed the perfect balance between work and play that really made it a memorable time together

We firmly believe that company retreats are invaluable to building and reinforcing company culture, so we make sure to practice what we preach and "walk the walk" so to speak! Highlights included a movie night on the beach, an authentic Mexican cooking class, and even seeing whales on our catamaran day trip on the water!

Team spirit was sailing high! After the week was over, not only did our team feel closer together, but we also left feeling aligned on our goals, energized about the team, and truly excited for the year ahead

Vivun \\ Chamonix

Vivun wanted to create a unique experience for their first annual company retreat, set against the incredible backdrop of Chamonix in the French Alps Wanting our help to create a customized ‘Mission Impossible’ theme, their guests were ready to tackle any challenge or team building activity we threw at them!

The final dinner was truly a night to remember, with the group whisked away by a private train to a surprise alpine lodge nestled atop a mountaincomplete with a traditional fondue dinner with dancing, it was a fitting send off to an unforgettable retreat together!

In one of Spain’s most exciting and popular locations, Hugessen brought their entire team together for a fun blend of teambuilding activities and work sessions We also made sure to embrace the coastal sun in the agenda, with a beach day for the entire team

The presentations ranged from hosting a key note speaker, an engaging panel, a company strategy session, and multiple department breakout meetings and workshops

As one of our largest retreats this year, the BlueCat team also enjoyed some of Toronto’s fantastic event venues in the evenings for some lovely cocktail receptions and dinners. As well, a company awards dinner was hosted at the Steamwhistle Brewery for an

amazing night of celebration Of course, we made sure they enjoyed some team-building too with an exciting outdoor scavenger hunt activity that encouraged problem solving and communication!

Minikon Whistler

Minikon is the mini version of our larger retreat; Monikon This time, the Moniker team headed to Whistler, BC Awe-inspiring mountains, classic Canadian charm, and stunning postcardworthy scenery provided the perfect backdrop for 5 days of team-building, workshops and of course, a lot of fun!

We spent our days participating in presentations from different team members, brainstorming sessions and we even had the pleasure of engaging in a fantastic workshop by Jenny Reilly on positive intelligence Other highlights included cooking together in the kitchen, celebrating a few Moniker

anniversaries with cake, playing a competitive game of trivia, trying out two wildly fun escape rooms, and of course, taking the team from sea to sky - from white water rafting on the Green River to toasting our biggest year yet atop a glacier high above the Canadian Rockies!

For their first ever team retreat, Zipline took their entire remote team to sunny Puerto Vallarta They conducted company wide meetings, internal workshops and departmental breakouts around the resort They also brought in a guest speaker for an effective Radical Candor workshop

For a truly epic team-building experience like no other, we threaded a Greek mythologyinspired plot and corresponding team-challenges throughout the entire retreat! Starting with a

hilarious Grease-the-movie prank, the incredible theme was introduced with a 3D-printed box and a puzzle cipher for each team to solve! Other activities included beach olympics with each activity themed around a Greek myth, a scavenger hunt across Mykonos, a boat trip to Delos, and a "My Big Fat Plex Wedding" dinner that

was one of the many fabulous Greek feasts this group enjoyed throughout the week.

This incredibly unique retreat was a huge hit and we can't wait to see what they do next year!
