This portfolio is an introduction to my recent undergraduate work as a fourth year interior design student. I am an experimental and driven artist that enjoys the challenge of playing with different forms and spatial experiences. I value an environment of collaboration and transparency.
I enjoy the little personal details, textures, custom patterns, and experimentation with how natural and artificial light interact with spaces. I draw inspiration from my life experiences and design for the purpose that all should have the privilege to occupy a well designed and thought out space.

Master Plan designed in collaboration with Oscar Avila & Anna Gideon (architecture), Will Whiting (landscape architecture), and Hayden Korn (interior design).
Project to be featured in student publication “The Gallery”
The goal of the Downtown Revival in Kimball, Ne is to create a downtown that utilizes Historic Tourism and Green City methods to both promote sustainability and bring financial stability to the residents of Kimball as well as travelers that wish to enjoy the cultural significance of small town living in America. We intend to look at methods of Financial Opportunities and Residential Central Living to allow for a Comprehensive Three Phase Proposal to inspire residents to get engaged and take advantage of the future opportunities before them. The Proposal consists of efforts focused in Tactical, Creative, and Strategical elements in order to complete our goal of Downtown Revival.
Master Plan with implemented design solutions of alleyway interventions, green corridor initiatives, historic preservation, adaptive reuse, and new development.

The Comprehensive three phases value the communities time and financial ability to develop a robust downtown scene for its residents.
Phase 1
The goal of Tactical placemaking is to increase community engagement and allow for quick changes to occur at a lower budget cost.
Examples include: murals, benches, uniform signage, facade restoration, small vegetation, and lighting systems.
Phase 2
The goal of Creative placemaking is to grow community engagement within the community through reshaping social and physical characteristics of the downtown region.
This is done through arts and cultural activities, and through allowing flexibility within exterior/interior spaces.
This phase introduces craft fairs, outdoor gathering spaces, festivals, markets, and cultural art displays.
Phase 3
The goal of Strategic placemaking involves proposals for new programs to draw a population in and increase civic engagement.
Examples include introducing larger vegetation interventions, remodeled storefronts, adaptive reuse, full scale additions, and housing developments.

*Horizon Development designed in partnership with Kyle Wessling & Janelle Johnson. First Light Market designed independently. This five level market offers a grand variety of cuisines, handmade goods, and experiences to explore. The levels progress through the theme of LAND and SKY; the gradient of this market is representative of EARTH as in its darkness fruitful nourishment is produced and the rarest of objects are made, but in the sky, dreams are formed and ambitions are established.
This community hub supports the aspirations of all humanity by establishing a multigenerational market that encourages its users to claim the space as a part of their story, and thus, embedding First Light Market as a future core community marker.
The Dilemma
There is no doubt the rise of COVID-19 brought many changes to our way of life. Specifically, the way we consider the Monday-Friday, 8 to 5 work schedule changed drastically as people were leaving the city to a remote and more flexible way of working in an effort to decrease the spread of COVID-19. This new remote and flexible work trend has led to more people continuing to leave cities, drastically de-densifying downtown environments. Because of this, there has been a decline in demand and economic value for office space which ultimately has led to a growing concern and lingering question of how we bring people and a bustling environment back to our cities.
The Mission
The Horizon building intends to bring life back to vacant downtowns by bringing one and all back to the city through creating an inclusive, equitable, and diverse urban interior. Horizon will provide a myriad of public resources, experiences, and housing typology in one place through vertical programming strategies in a vacant high rise building. This will ensure everyone, no matter their age, gender, family style, socioeconomic status, or cultural background feels the city can provide for them and enhance their quality of life. In doing so, people will return to the cities, bringing back with them the life depleting cities desperately need.
Horizon Development Master Program
The Horizon development is a monotonous vacant high rise building reinvented into an urban experience that is inclusive, equitable, and diverse. This building provides a myriad of public resources, experiences, and housing typologies in one place through vertical programming strategies in a vacant high rise building.
First Light Market

Horizon Floor
Within these vertical neighborhoods, community is promoted and highlighted within the Horizon floor of the residential program through promotion of health, wellness, and appreciation of diverse lifestyles
Materials
Wall panels represented to the right are Wolf-Gordon Wall Coverings. Panels coincide with the five floors of the market in reference to a sunrise that happens during the “first light”. Within the market, vendors will be given options of customization from wall coverings, paint, to countertops. Customization will allow for vendors to be able to develop their own narrative. Flooring is kept neutral to emphasize wall panels.

Wall Panel Grid
The use of a wall panel grid allows for flexibility in size of vendor space and allows for different configurations of circulation. By giving flexibility to vendors this will allow for an always evolving look to the market, one that adapts to the times.
Architecture Office
Studio III
Fall 2023
Duration: 14 weeks
Professor Kendra Ordia
This office aims to birth a new ecosystem of architecture work culture that will survive and thrive within the urban fabric of Dallas.
Environments of collaboration and focus will be cultivated through the use of a variety of lighting levels; the availability of different postures for employees; the presence of a locally influenced color and material palette.
This office will aim to bring warmth towards an environment traditionally crisp and museum-like. Employees will be inspired to transcend innovation but reminded to ensure that their roots stay in the community surrounding them.
