The house’s location between Loja Avenue and Primero de Mayo Avenue was crucial due to its context dominated by the Yanuncay linear park. Transparency was fundamental in the design, with social and service areas on the ground floor to ensure natural lighting. The first floor was designed as a glass cube to utilize the site’s small size, promoting harmony and creating a dynamic relationship between the exterior and garden. The façade achieves balance through full-empty spaces and the careful selection of materials. The upper floor uses brick to take advantage of the stunning landscape views while providing privacy and social spaces on the terraces.

The project in Cuenca aims to revitalize the Yanuncay Riverbank and implement an Interactive Water Park. It proposes a comprehensive strategy with five essential components. The first involves integrating El Recreo Park with the riverfront. The second is constructing a transportation station along Las Americas Avenue. The third includes establishing two squares along the route. The fourth and most significant component is creating an interactive water park for children in the old Plaza de Toros. Finally, a citywide parking lot is proposed to promote multimodal transportation and reduce traffic on Av. de las Américas. The project seeks to create a cohesive and sustainable urban space.

The housing between rivers intervention aims to integrate a collective housing project with its immediate surroundings and the city, generating a high-density urban fabric that incorporates public, semi-public, and private spaces for the community. The project utilizes a module (2.70 x 2.70m) made up of prefabricated, energy-efficient panels, which are grouped into 3 supermodules of varying heights (5, 4, and 3 stories), resulting in a density of 120 dwellings/ ha. Through functional, formal, architectural, urban, constructive, sustainable, and social criteria, this project seeks to interconnect spaces and harmoniously blend with its surroundings.

The solar panel harnesses sunlight to generate a greenhouse effect, which increases the water temperature as it passes through the panel. Its simple and lightweight design makes it adaptable to any housing structure, and it is situated to receive sunlight from dawn until dusk. Recycled materials are used to make the panel, with a metallic, black, and semi-circular base that enhances heat accumulation. The panel also features a thermal insulation coating and a reflective zinc layer, sealed with glass to keep heat isolated from the outside. The semi-circle shape of the panel allows for more air and heat generation inside, making it more efficient than a straighter shape. Overall, this panel is a practical and environmentally friendly option that improves the planet.
