MONASH CORPORATE EDUCATION
How do we develop braver, more daring leaders? How do we embed courage into our organisation’s culture, while navigating change and driving performance?
Based on the research of Dr Brené Brown, Dare to Lead™ is an empiricallybased courage-building course for leaders and change agents.
Dr Brown is a research professor at the University of Houston, where she holds the Huffington Foundation – Brené Brown Endowed Chair at the Graduate College of Social Work. She has spent the past two decades studying courage, vulnerability, shame and empathy, and is the author of five #1 New York Times bestsellers, including Dare to Lead, which also debuted at #1 on The Wall Street Journal and Publisher’s Weekly lists.
Through this outstanding three-day workshop, you’ll learn the skills of brave leadership, allowing you to:
Key takeaways include:
• drive high-functioning teams
• get comfortable in discomfort
• inspire daring leadership and courageous conversations
• build trust in teams and yourself to create high engagement

Dr Brené Brown defines a leader as
“someone who takes responsibility for finding the potential in people and processes and has the courage to develop that potential”.
If innovation, creativity, empathy, team performance, being seen, speaking up and building your courage muscle is important to your success, then join this community of courageous leaders. The course is also designed for teams and leadership groups within organisations.
A facilitator, speaker and executive coach, Debra has more than 30 years of corporate experience and has led workshops and leadership courses across Australia and the Asia-Pacific. Dare to Lead™ is a face-to-face course delivered over three consecutive days. Four-to-six weeks after the course concludes, your facilitator will run a 90-minute online group coaching session for participants.
The most significant finding from Dr Brown’s latest research is that courage is a collection of four skillsets that are teachable, measurable and observable. Through Dare to Lead™ you’ll learn how to navigate your courage skills to strengthen your own leadership identity.

2. Leading with values

• Essential courage skills to engage in tough conversations
• Embracing the giving and receiving of feedback
• Learning essential boundarysetting skills.
3. Building trust

• Why self-trust is important
• How trust is essential to building meaningful connections.
4. Rising from setbacks
• Owning our stories to rise from setbacks and failures

• Write your new ending and practise the practice.
