What is Management? In today’s dynamic and global business environment, management is vital to organisational success as well as employee and societal wellbeing. Managers must provide vision and leadership to develop and motivate employees to work together towards sustainable organisational success. People are an organisation’s most important asset. Managers lead by inspiring teams to maximise their performance to achieve individual and organisational goals. A strong management team can be the difference between a business that struggles to function efficiently and one that is successful and has a great work culture. The role of a manager varies according to their level and the industry they work in, but it typically involves providing leadership, setting business goals and objectives, finding and retaining the right staff and allocating resources.
