As SoundWaves entered its third year, the HHSO found it necessary to replace the traditional cabaret seating format for live events by transforming into the Island’s premier streaming location. SoundWaves saw its free SoundWaves Streaming Live! series lead the way through the summer and fall reaching tens of thousands of viewers with more than 50 Monday presentations. The series included nostalgic monthly International Piano Competition archival performances and always an IPC audio gem for those who remained online during the streaming credits following the concert.

As the pandemic began to subside, rental events returned with streamed fundraisers for local not-for-profit partners including the Historic Mitchelville Foundation and Memory Matters. The Rotary Club of Hilton Head Island resumed in-person meetings with a weekly hybrid format. Continuing as one of Hilton Head’s most highly sought-after performing events spaces, SoundWaves has carved its niche in the fabric of evening entertainment options, presenting dynamic performances in a variety of musical and dramatic art forms, as well as delivering some of the hottest popular music around. From cabaret to chamber music, singer/songwriter duos to the full range of jazz, SoundWaves delivers the best music in many genres in its engagingly intimate setting. Seating is casual and comfortable at small cabaret-style tables, and you can enjoy a glass of wine or beer, if you choose. SoundWaves embraces its role as the venue that brings the Hilton Head community together through exceptional live music and performing arts experiences. Visit us this year and we expect that you will be back again and again. Look for email announcements of upcoming programs and check hhso.org to stay up to date with our evolving schedule. Please contact Mario Incorvaia to inquire about bringing your organization to SoundWaves for meetings and conferences (843.842.2055). We would love to host your event.
