Meet the Artist: Abeni Cultural Arts Dance Studio
The Studio Cloggers study ballet, tap, jazz, contemporary, and clogging at The Studio for Dance in Cincinnati, Ohio. Under the direction of Shari Poff and choreographed by Della Lehane, these enthusiastic young people continue to win local and national dance competitions and are frequently named “Most Entertaining Performers.” Their precision and energy have won the hearts of audiences everywhere they perform. The Studio Cloggers appear regularly with the Cincinnati Pops at Music Hall and at Riverbend Music Center, and have enjoyed the honor of performing with the Cincinnati Pops Orchestra at Carnegie Hall in New York. While visiting New York City, The Studio Cloggers also enjoyed the exciting opportunity to dance on “The Today Show.” The Studio for Dance has had the privilege of performing with The Cincinnati Pops Orchestra, both with Erich Kunzel and John Morris Russell, for the past 30 years. During these 30 years, The Studio Cloggers have appeared with the Pops in two televised productions for PBS. They have also performed with the May Festival Chorus, Blue Ash/Hamilton Symphony, Lima Symphony, Windsor Symphony in Windsor, Ontario, Canada and the Kitchener/Waterloo Symphony in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada. They are thrilled to be making their debut with the HHSO.
